Tilda stamped card with Kraft Paper

Hi all!
So for today I made this card to enter into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge on their Monday Blog called Witch Kraft. You could be witchy or just use Kraft paper.  One of my personal challenges is to try to use items from my craft room that I haven't used or used in along time. I have to stop hoarding LOL. The only problem with that is…….the stamped Magnolia Tilda image and the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder are no longer available. Sorry about that I didn't realize that when I went ahead and used them on this card. I did film a tutorial on this card so there is a video at the bottom of this post and on YouTube. I have also linked to the Simon Says Stamp and One Crazy Stamper online stores where you can find the items I show in the video.

I am entering this card in:

I mentioned in the video that when I filmed the section on colouring Tilda, I didn't realize I was out of the frame and that my hands were also in the way so you couldn't see the Copic colouring, I apologize for that! Here are the colours I used:

Face: E00, E11, R20
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37
Top, Socks and Bow: YR04, YR07, YR09
Pants and Hat: E51, E53, E55
Shoes: YR02, YR04, W5, W7

Supplies:
The card stock is just from my stash and I think I got it at Michaels.
Magnolia Stamps: Summer Tilda with hat (retired)
Stampin' Up: Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder (retired)

Well I hoped you enjoyed this card tutorial, I'm still working on my film and editing skills. I'm slowly getting better so just hang in there LOL. I hope everyone has a great long weekend ahead! Here in Ontario the kids go back to school on September 2, 2014 so I am sure the parents are getting excited! Some kids will be excited and some not (like your teenagers lol). I can't believe the summer is gone, where did it go?

Sad news!

Darn it anyway! The Paper Trail is closing at the end of September 2014! I just finally realized a dream by becoming part of their Design Team and now Chelsea is closing the store. I totally understand though, her online store took off and she found that she didn't have time for her family. So like anyone would do she has decided to focus on her young family instead! I feel very honoured that I was able to be part of her team, even if for only a short time! I got to meet 3 new ladies who share my same designing passion so that is never a bad thing!

click on the logo to view Chelsea's post about closing the store.

Chelsea has a great sale on now at The Paper Trail, 25% off the entire store using code BYEBYE25. I wish Chelsea and her family only great things in the future!

So now my search for a Design Team begins again. Wish me luck!

Having a blast!

We are having a blast at the cottage! I've had my cousin's girls since Sunday night and we came to visit my Mom & Dad ( great aunt & uncle) at the cottage on Tuesday! So far we've been fishing for tiny sunfish, did a 550 piece puzzle, took a craft class, painted bird houses, watched movies, coloured, went for walks, went out in the Zodiac and swam! That is the kids swam, lol it's too cold for me (62 degrees F) brrrrrrr! How kids can swim and stay in the water for over an hour at that temp is beyond me! I am having fun and so is Mom but I sure could use a nap lol! I'm not used to this!!

Each of the girls caught fish, boy they were huge!

Only ducks and crazy children are brave enough to swim in the frigid waters of Colpoy's Bay

They painted bird houses to stick on Aunt Becky's fence

We all made Christmas stars at Karen's Creations in Wiarton! What a nice lady Karen is and her store is awesome!

Last night we made waffle cones stuffed with mini marshmallows, chocolate chips, banana chunks, caramel chunks and skor toffee bits. We wrapped them in tinfoil and because it was raining we used the BBQ to cook them…..YUMMY! I saw it on Pinterest, click here to go to the recipe. Now tonight is a campfire and toasted marshmallows! I don't want to see the scale when I get home!!

Oh did I mention we've only been here 2 days LOL……can u say busy?
