I'm on A Roll!

I'm on a roll getting caught up with all my posts while we relax at the cottage for the long weekend! Here's another card for you to see. I made this one for my Uncle who is turning 75. I've said it before but I always find it hard to make cards for men. I think this one turned out ok. I was trying to go with the theme "you're a classic"by using paper with vintage camera's on it and the old movie theme with the filmstrip and tickets.

Supplies used:
  • Bo Bunny 6x6 paper pad: "Mama Razzi2"
  • My Favorite Things:
    •  Die-namics and stamp set "At the Movies"
    •  Big Birthday Numbers Stamp set"by A la Mode
    • Die-namics Mini Film Strip
    • Die-namics Fishtail Flags Layer Stax
  • button, twine & card stock from my stash
  • Basic Grey Candy Dots in Metallics
Well lunch time again, cold meats, cheese, crackers and fresh bread! Who could ask for anything better?!

Another couple cards for you to view

Oh my….. I am sitting down by the water at my Parent's cottage! It is absolutely beautiful and the weather today couldn't get any better! The guys just got the "big boat" in the water and got everything tuned up and running smoothly. Now they are out for a ride in the "old but new to my dad" cedar strip canoe. He refinished it and this is the maiden voyage lol. It's leaking a bit but I think they will soon fix that up!

This is the card I gave to my Dad for Father's Day. I fell in love with this image and it's the first time I tried using a digital image and it worked out fine. I got the image from Mo Manning's digital pencil,  her designs are always so cute. I printed it out on copic paper and let it dry really well. I was worried the copic markers might run out of the lines as I was always told to only use Memento Ink. It worked absolutely fine and I now will have a new addiction…..digital stamps LOL.

I'd like to think I am getting better at shading with my markers….what do you think?

Once again I try to add some fun elements to the inside of the card as well.

Here is a card I made for friends that just welcomed a new baby boy into their lives. It is similar to the last one I made. I just love the C.C. Designs baby boy stamp and to be honest is the only baby boy stamp I have right now.

Well it's noon and that means lunch time according to my Dad. He is all about his meals….. he always says as long as it's hot, lots of it and on time no one will get hurt. LOL, so off we all go up to the cottage to make our lunch! Have a great long weekend!

Wow where does the time go?

It's been forever since I posted anything. I can't believe it's been over a month since my last post. I've been busy with getting the pool opened, cleaning up  my gardens, and we took a trip to Washington D.C. with my parents. I am still making cards though just haven't had a chance until now to get them uploaded. I made 2 beautiful Mother's Day cards and forgot to take a picture of them LOL. But my nephew & sister both had birthdays as well as my Mom-in-law so I do have pictures of those.
Here they are……

This was for my nephew Cameron who turned 13 on June 5th and loves to play basketball.
He said to tell you his feet aren't that big LOL.

Now here is My sister's card, she likes to remind me that she is much younger than me…..(only 3 years and when you are little that is a lot, but not so much when you get to be my age Hee Hee!!).  I love this image, I think she is adorable!

I actually used some of the paper I got in my Simon Says Stamp June card kit from My Mind's Eye called, Now & Then Mildred. I used Glossy accents on the balloon and the girl's glasses.

Of course I used Copic makers, my favourite thing to colour with to make this sweet girl come alive. I like to ink the edges of my paper with Distress ink, and added some bling with Stickles.

I always like to try to finish the inside of cards, and with this one I also stamped a light image of the birthday girl in the corner.

Here's a cute Uptown girl image from Stampin' Bella that I used for my Mom-in-law. I finally got to use the die-namics Floral Fusion cover up die that I purchased a while ago and some paper from the Bo Bunny Primrose collection.

I coloured her with my copies, paper pieced her dress
and added stickles to the icing layers on her cake.

I had a set of Bo Bunny Primrose Note-worthy die cuts
and they matched perfectly for the inside of the card.

I have a few more cards to show you but I will save that for my next post. Hope life has been treating you all well and that you are enjoying the summer weather.
