Happy Father's Day!

Happy Tuesday!
At our Cottage, there are lots of people with boats that tow their family and friends behind them. "Tubing Bob" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps reminds me of the fun you can have on the water. It is so fun to watch the kids having fun, yells of joy and the odd splash overturn. It makes me feel young to watch them and brings back memories of my childhood at the Cottage. Since this weekend is Father's Day, I thought the HH sentiment "Happy Father's Day" was perfect for this card!
I started my card by picking papers from the Echo Park's Summer Party 6x6 collection. After stamping the image onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured the image in to match using my Copic Sketch markers.  I used a CDD Inside Scallop Square die to cut out the image, and the scalloped frame. Next I decided to use a Wink of Stella glitter pen to add some glimmer to the waves and water droplets. A few enamel dots finish off my card!
Copics Used:

No Waves, No Glory!

Hi!
My Hubby and I took a surfing lesson when we were in Hawaii. Boy it sure is harder than it looks and I never did get up on the board, just took lots of tumbles. Hubby made it up a few times and thinks he looked like "Surfer Bob" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Let me tell you, it wasn't quite like that and I have the CD to prove it LOL.
Every once in a while I like to make a Stair Step card. They are fun, easy to make and you can create little scenes. I thought Bob would look perfect surfing on this card base. The sentiment "No Waves" from HH goes perfectly with this card.
I used a stitched wave die in 3 colours of blue and glued them to the "steps". Some are popped up with foam tape for added dimension. I took a sponge, some white ink and dabbed the waves to look like the whitecaps in the Ocean. I love this surf board paper from Bo Bunny's "Beach Therapy" 6x6 collection. The sentiment "No Waves" from HH goes perfectly with this card.
I added some clouds in the background and glued them to acetate so they looked like they are floating in the background. I hand drew the birds on the clouds.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E11, E13, R20, R22
Hair: C6, C7, C9

Let's Waterski!

Hello!
The vault is open over at High Hopes and the Men & Boy's have come out to play! Meet "Waterskiing Bob"! Bob must be on vacation somewhere as it certainly isn't warm enough here yet for water sports LOL. I always love how happy Bob is, he always has a smile on his face!
I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and then used my Copic markers to colour my image to match my papers. Today's papers are from the Doodlebug's "Anchors Away" and Echo Park's "Summer Party" 6x6 collections. After colouring Bob, I cut him out using a stitched square die and them popped that up on my card with foam squares. I used the HH sentiment called "World's Best Father". Some clear glitter pen on the waves and a few enamel dots finish off my card. Waterskiing Bob makes a great Father's Day or even a great birthday card for Dad!

World's Best!

Hi!
I'm so excited that Lora opened the Retirement Vault and let the "Men & Boys" out to play again! This image is called "Lawnmower Bob". Bob looks so happy cutting the grass! This image makes a great Father's Day card.
I started by stamping my image and then colouring Bob in with my Copic Markers. Next using my Brother Cut N Scan I "fussy" cut him out. I decided to make a scene for Bob & his lawnmower. I took my card base and using a cloud stencil created the sky. Next I used 2 different dies and cut out some green grass. The first 2 glass layers (bottom up) are popped up using foam squares as is Bob. I tucked my coloured image amongst the grass layers. The HH sentiment called "World's Best Father" finishes off my card.

Gone Fishing!

Happy Tuesday!
Brrrrr..... it's been cold here lately but that works out perfect for ice fishing! Some of the lakes and rivers have frozen over and the Winter fishing enthusiasts are out trying to catch fish! "Fishing with Grandpa" from High Hopes Stamps makes a perfect card to celebrate those winter fishermen!
I stamped my image and sentiment onto Copic friendly paper and then coloured them in with my Copic Sketch markers. Next using a Stitched Octagon die, I cut them both out. My papers today are from the Honey Bee "Great Outdoors" 6x6 collection. I added some Liquid Appliqué to the fur trim on their outfits and let it dry. Then using my heat gun, I heated up the Liquid Appliqué. It bubbles up and I thought it looked cute for fur! A bit of twine with a bow finish off my card.
I used the "Gone Fishing Sign'" sentiment also from High Hopes Stamps. It goes perfectly with this stamp don't you think?!

Norman Goat!

Hello!
Baby Goats always get all the attention but I think the High Hopes Image "Norman Goat" deserves some love too LOL! I mean look at him.... cute or what!! I picture him being the Matriach of the family with all the little goats surrounding him as he tells the tales of his life!
I chose papers today from the Echo Park's "A Dog's Tale" 6x6 collection. After stamping and colouring "Norman" with my Copic Markers, I cut him out using the CDD Fancy Frame die set. I inked all the edges of my papers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for added dimension.  Don't you just love the HH Sentiment "Humor Me". I think it suits Norman well! Some Burlap ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Exciting News!!

Hi!
I am so excited to tell you that I am now part of the Kinda Cute Design Team for 3 months! Kinda Cute belongs to Patricia Alvarez and has the cutest digital images! I can't wait to create more cards with Patricia's designs!

Today I decided to play with the "Chef Doing A BBQ" digital stamp. Since Father's Day is creeping up I thought it would be perfect for Dad or you could even use it as a birthday card!
I started by sizing the image and then printing it with my Laser Printer. Next, using my Copic Markers I coloured in "Chef" and then fussy cut him out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I also cut 2 slightly bigger layers with my cutting machine to place behind the Chef so he stands out against the papers. My papers today are from the Doodlebug "So Much Pun" 6x6 collection. I thought the hamburgers, hotdogs and condiments went perfectly for this BBQ image. You can't tell in the photos but the legs and grates of the BBQ have Clear Glitter pen added to them for a fun look. Some matching enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E11, R20
Chef Outfit: C00. C0, C1, C2, C4, C5, C6, C8
BBQ: R24, E27, E29, C6

Carpenter Steve!

Hi!
Father's Day is coming up soon, so I made these adorable cards to celebrate the Fathers in our lives! I am using the High Hopes Stamp image called "Carpenter Steve". My Dad is quite the Handyman and built his own Cottage when we were growing up. I can always count on Dad to come to rescue to help fix anything! Carpenter Steve is perfect for his card!
I am using the High Hopes Sentiment called "Dot Happy Father's Day" on the front of my card. I left the inside blank so that I can write a note to Dad!
The papers on this card are from the Honey Bee Great Outdoors 6x6 collection. I added some red twine and MFT Tool Charms. Some nice red enamel dots finish off this card.
This card is asimple design just using cardstock layers along with plaid paper from the PhotoPlay Mad 4 Plaid 6x collection.

Walkabout Wally!

Happy Tuesday!
Meet your Jungle Guide "Walkabout Wally" from High Hopes Stamps. Wally is ready to take us on an adventure through the jungle! Now if only they would lift the "isolation ban" lol. Wally is all ready with his binoculars and walking stick! This cutie would be the perfect guide don't you think?!
I started my card by stamping the High Hopes "Jungle Background"and "Walkabout Wally" onto some Copic friendly paper. Using my Copic Sketch Markers I coloured my images. Next I cut out the Jungle Background with a Stitched Rectangle Die, and used my Brother Cut N Scan to cut out Wally. I decided to use papers from the Doodlebug "At the Zoo" 6x6 collection. I added the HH "Jungle Out There" sentiment in the top right of the card. I decided to pop up Wally with some foam squares for a bit of added dimension. A bit of twine and a bow finish off my card.
I decided the decorate the inside of my 6x6" card.

Birdies & Eagles!

Fore!!!
That's what you'd be hearing if it was me out on the golf course "fore" (look out) LOL. My golf balls would be flying everywhere. Luckily "Golfer Rudy" from High Hopes Stamps has his game in check! I mean look at that form!
Golfer Rudy is a bit on the bigger size (4.75x3) so I decided to try out the "Slim Line" card base. I've been seeing this card size 8.5 x 3.5" a lot on Facebook and thought it would be perfect for Rudy! I stamped and coloured the image with my Copic markers and then fussy cut him out using some scissors. Since I only have papers in 6x6, I had to be creative with this taller card size. I decided to use papers from the Honey Bee "Great Outdoors" 6x6 collection and used a rectangle block pattern. It's hard to see on the card but I tried to make a tee with a small white pom pom on it to resemble a golf ball. I love that sentiment called "Funny Golf Saying", it just makes me giggle! Rudy is popped up with foam squares for added dimension.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E37, E39

Retirement!

Hello!
My Hubby is so jealous of this guy, "Retired Raymond" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Hubby still has a few more years to work and there's nothing he'd rather be doing then golfing 5 (or 7 lol) days a week in the nice weather. This image makes a nice Retirement or male birthday card. Retired Raymond actually looks a lot like our neighbour Steve, who also loves golfing. I think this card will be going to him for sure.
I started by stamping "Retired Raymond" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured him to match my papers with Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut the image and then went ahead and masked off the image. Using Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and a Mini Cloud Stencil, I created my sky background. The image is popped up on the card with foam squares for added dimension. I decided to use the High Hopes "Retirement" sentiment but birthday wishes would work just as well. A bit of twine and a few enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E000, E01, E11, R20
Hair: E37, E39
Shirt & Hat: R37, R59, R89

Cast Away!

Happy Tuesday HH & OCS Fans!
Meet "Anthony James" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This adorable stamp reminds me of my Nephew when he was little at the Cottage. My Dad would take him to a small stream attached to a lake and let him fish. The sunfish were plenty and would bite often. It was perfect because young children don't have the patience to sit all day waiting for a bite.  Now they weren't very big fish but I bet if you ask my Nephew he's say they were huge LOL!
My design today is very simple with just a few paper layers. I used Designer paper from the CC Designs "Hearts and Dots and the YNS "Summer Plaid" 6x6 collection. A bit of natural twine and some Black Diamond Stickles on his buttons finish off my design.
Here's the decorated inside using more of the designer papers and a sentiment from the High Hopes "Sentiment Set #1".
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E04, E11, E21, E20
Hair & boots: E44, E47, E49

Surfer Dude!

Happy Tuesday Everybody!
So Tuesday means it's my turn to post some inspiration over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! With summer right around the corner, I thought "Bob's A Surfer Dude" from High Hopes was perfect for my post today. I have to admit Bob makes it look easy! When we were in Hawaii we took surfing lessons and lets just say I better just stay with card making a surfer LOL. It was a disaster! I don't think I even made it upright once! Hubby on the other hand was a natural!
I am using paper from an older Carta Bella 6x6 collection called "Beach Days". I coloured Bob and then paper pieced his swim shorts and surf board with paper from the pad. Then I used my Brother Cut N Scan to fussy cut out the image. I decided Bob needed to be on an action wobble for a bit of fun!
Here you can see the action wobble and some of the dimension I added to the card using foam squares!
I decorated the inside and added a sentiment from the "Sentiment Set #4" that matches my card theme perfectly!
Here's a short clip of Bob in action!
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95, R20
Hair: E31, E35, E47, E49, E57
