Mary Angel!

Happy Tuesday!
I hope my post today finds you all well in these difficult days! I thought I'd pop in with a cutie to help brighten your day! Meet the adorable "Mary Angel" from High Hopes Stamps! Isn't she just having the best time splashing in the puddles! Mary Angel reminds me of my daughters when they were little and loved to play in the rain!
I chose papers today from an older Echo Park collection called "Spring". I thought the umbrella papers went perfectly with this image. I coloured my image with my Copic markers and then paper pieced Mary's coat and umbrella. It's hard to see but the puddle, splashes and Mary's wings all have clear glitter pen added to them for a bit of sparkle! I added some clear dewdrops (gems) to the cut out image to look like rain drops.
I decorated the inside of my card and then added the "Play In The Puddles" sentiment also from High Hopes Stamps.

Nurse Nancy!

Happy Hello!!
I'll let you in on a little secret...... I've been obsessed with watching "Call the Midwife" on Netflix! I've binge watched them all and just loved it! Anything about babies always gets me hooked! "Nurse Nancy" from C.C. Designs reminded me of these ladies for some reason!
I decided to colour "Nurse Nancy" to match these Midwives.
I had to dig through my papers to find some red and baby blue to match my coloured images. I finally found some that worked in the Pink & Main "Beach Bum" 6x6 collection. Some simple layers and a "Get Well" sentiment from my wooden block stash made up my design today. A bit of Stickles for some bling on the red crosses finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair, bag and shoes: C4, C7, C9
Reds:R37, R59, R89
Blues: B21, B23, B24

Chicks With Hat-itude!

Happy Tuesday!
Thanks for popping in today to see my Tuesday post for High Hopes Stamps. Meet the adorable trio called "Gertie, Millie & Hattie". These cuties remind me of my peeps and the day we tried on Halloween hats LOL. The HH Sentiment called "Hat-itude" goes perfectly with these besties!
Lots of layers on my cards today using papers the Doodlebug French Kiss 6x6 collection and some matching cardstock. I tried to colour these ducks to match the papers with my Copic Sketch Markers. I used my Brother Cut N Scan to cut the image out and then popped it up with some foam tape. It's hard to see in the picture but each of the hats have Glitter Pen on the flowers and ribbons for a soft glittery look. A big hot pink bow and some heart shaped enamel dots finish off my card.

Nurse Tilda!

Yahoo! It's Friday!!
I'm back with a few more "Get Well" cards to get my stash built back up! Today I dug deep and got out  my Magnolia images. I found "Nurse Tilda" that I hadn't inked up yet! She's such a cutie, I can't believe I forgot I had her!
After stamping and colouring the images with My Copic Markers, I fussy cut out one and used a Gina Marie Loopy Oval die on the other. I decided on papers from the Carta Bella "Flora No.2" 6x6 collection. I used a "XO" border die from the Pink & Main "Heart Borders" die set. The "Feel Better" sentiment is from a MFT Pure Innocence set I've had forever.  I added some Crystal Stickles to the red crosses for a bit of bling.
I gave this card away to our Neighbour who just had knee surgery. It sure brightened her day!
This one's ready to go out next when I need a Get Well card!
The decorated inside and the sentiment is a wooden block stamp I've had for ages.

Birdies & Eagles!

Fore!!!
That's what you'd be hearing if it was me out on the golf course "fore" (look out) LOL. My golf balls would be flying everywhere. Luckily "Golfer Rudy" from High Hopes Stamps has his game in check! I mean look at that form!
Golfer Rudy is a bit on the bigger size (4.75x3) so I decided to try out the "Slim Line" card base. I've been seeing this card size 8.5 x 3.5" a lot on Facebook and thought it would be perfect for Rudy! I stamped and coloured the image with my Copic markers and then fussy cut him out using some scissors. Since I only have papers in 6x6, I had to be creative with this taller card size. I decided to use papers from the Honey Bee "Great Outdoors" 6x6 collection and used a rectangle block pattern. It's hard to see on the card but I tried to make a tee with a small white pom pom on it to resemble a golf ball. I love that sentiment called "Funny Golf Saying", it just makes me giggle! Rudy is popped up with foam squares for added dimension.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E37, E39

Dr Orders!

Hi!
A dear neighbour of ours had surgery and I went to grab a card and realized I was all out! So I got out these cuties from My Favourite Things and got busy! Meet the "Dr Orders" and " Super Hero In Scrubs" sets.
I started by stamping my images and sentiment on to some alcohol ink friendly paper. Using my Copics, I coloured in the images and then fussy cut them out. I decided to make my own background this time instead of using patterned paper. I got out some water colour paper and a "Moroccan Lattice" Stencil. Using a blending sponge and some Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry I made the background. I concentrated the colour more towards the centre and lighter on the edges. Then I just added some matching pink cardstock behind the background panel and sentiment. I popped up the sentiment and images with some foam tape for a bit of added dimension. Some sequin stickers finish everything off!
Copics Used:
Skin: E000, E01, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E31, E35, E57, E79/ E08, E18, YR14, YR18
Labcoat: C00, C0, C1
Scrubs: RV17, RV19, R89/ BG93, BG96, BG99
Shoes: N3, N5, N6

In the coming posts I will be adding more Get well cards as my stash is really low!

Retirement!

Hello!
My Hubby is so jealous of this guy, "Retired Raymond" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Hubby still has a few more years to work and there's nothing he'd rather be doing then golfing 5 (or 7 lol) days a week in the nice weather. This image makes a nice Retirement or male birthday card. Retired Raymond actually looks a lot like our neighbour Steve, who also loves golfing. I think this card will be going to him for sure.
I started by stamping "Retired Raymond" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured him to match my papers with Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut the image and then went ahead and masked off the image. Using Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and a Mini Cloud Stencil, I created my sky background. The image is popped up on the card with foam squares for added dimension. I decided to use the High Hopes "Retirement" sentiment but birthday wishes would work just as well. A bit of twine and a few enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E000, E01, E11, R20
Hair: E37, E39
Shirt & Hat: R37, R59, R89
Pants: N5, N6, N8

Just Bee'cause!

Bzzzzzzz!
What's the buzz you say? Well it's all about this adorable card from High Hopes Stamps called "Wilson's Honey Farm". These Bees are buzzin' by to let you know they are thinking about you.
To start, I stamped and coloured my image using my Copic Markers. Then I die cut it using a Gina Marie die set called "Peekaboo Oval". To create the frame, I die cut the polka dot paper and then using an Xacto knife, cut around the outer edge of the die. This created a nice frame for the coloured image to sit inside of. I found these adorable papers in the Honey Bees "The Bees Knees" 6x6 collection. I also added Vintage Photo Distress Ink to all the edges of my papers to add some dimension.  I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Just Bee Cause", which goes perfectly with this image! Some ribbon, bee stickers and Stickles to the bee's wings finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Hive: Y32, Y35, Y38
Flowers: RV17, RV19, YG23, G28
Honey Pot: BG75, BG78, Y21, RV17, RV19
Grass: YG17, YG21, YG23, YG25
