We're Here!

Hi!!

If you know me then you know I absolutely love the "Girlfriends" line of stamps over at Art Impressions! I have the whole collection and often turn to them to use on cards for my girlfriends! This is one of the latest stamp sets called "We're Here".

I find it's always easier to make 2 of the same cards at the same time. You already have the card  layout and marker colours decided, so the second one comes together fast! I'm using papers from the Honey Bee "Sweet On You" 6x6 collection. The sentiments I used are part of the "We're Here" set. The skin and hair on each card are the same. I just switched up some of their outfits colours to match my papers. I love the polka dots I created using my white gel pen!

On the inside I used another sentiment from the stamp set.

On the top card I coloured the curtains and door mat in a plaid pattern for fun! On the bottom I made the curtains polka dotted for a different look.

I used so many Copic colour combinations that I am not even going to try to list them all LOL. If you really need to know, drop me a line and I'll send them to you.

Oh my gosh I just love this set of Ai Girlfriends! These Gals are always getting into some kind of trouble LOL. Today's card features the "Yoga Set" from Art Impressions!

I'm using an older pad of Designer paper today called " Birthday Wishes" from Echo Park. I tried to colour my images with the same colours that could be found in the 6x6 pad. I made the window frame using the Art Impressions "Square Double Stitched Dies". I cut 2 sizes inside each other to create the frame and popped the outside up with some foam tape. Then I inset my coloured image to complete the framed window look. Although you can't tell from the photos, there is some Clear Glitter Pen on various parts of the images for a sparkly look. A nice big bow and some matt enamel dots finish off my card.

Howdy Girlfriend!

I have always loved the Art Impressions "Girlfriend" line of stamps! I own the whole collection and always love colouring up these fun friends! This set is called "Cowgirls, and true to the "Girlfriend" line are fun and sassy!

I chose paper from the Doodlebug "Down on the Farm" 6x6 collection. The fun and bright designs are perfect for these "Cowgirls". I stamped and coloured the image with my Copic markers and then using my Brother Cut N Scan cut out the image. Polka dots were added to one of the girlfriends and Spectrum Noir glitter pen to the middle girlfriends vest and skirt. Using a Copic liner I added a plaid pattern to the blue shirt, I mean I couldn't leave her out of some added detail LOL!

Here's the inside decorated with more paper and a fun sentiment! Perfect sentiment for some "Cowgirl" birthday wishes!

Halloween Treat Bag!

Hello Ai Fans!
It's the second week of the "Treat Bag" Challenge and the Release of Art Impressions Halloween/Thanksgiving Clear sets! I got to play with the "Ghoul Friends" set! Aren't these Girlfriends just the cutest ever!

I coloured my image to match the papers from Doodlebugs "Boos and Brews" 6x6 collection. I added some Halloween die cuts and sentiment for some added fun elements.

I popped my fussy cut image up with some foam tape and inked the edges of my sentiment in Black Soot Distress Ink. Last year I took a card class at my local Scrapbook Store where we learned how to make this adorable Witch's Hat clip. 

The clip is easy to make using a circle with a hole in it and  2 triangles. Then you attach the mini clip to the hat with some glue dots.

Road Trip!

Hello Ai Fans!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using the Art Impressions "Shoppers" set. The "Shoppers set comes with the Front and Back image as well as a sentiment. You can also just purchase the "Shoppers Front" or the "Shoppers Back" images on their own.

I decided to make a half front card base so that I could also add the back image. I decided to use the "Road Trip" sentiment from the "Road Trip" set as the license plate for fun. I am using papers from the Doodlebug "Spring Things" 6x6 collection to create my little country scene. The gals are on their way home from shopping, taking the scenic route LOL.

Here you can see how the back image is applied. I also inked the edges of my papers to make them stand out a bit more.

I sure hope this Gal doesn't loose any of the precious packages as they travel home!

I made a second card just using the "Shoppers Front" image to show how versatile this set can be.

I added glossy accents to the windshield, and some glitter pen to the lights and bumper for added fun!

You're So Cool!

It's the second week of the Art Impressions Challenge called "Playing Dress Up" and the release of the new Girlfriend stamps. I am playing with the "Sunny Shades" set today!

 I thought these Gals looked so cool in all their fancy shades! A lightbulb went off in my head and I decided to try to make my own word card base. I used my Silhouette Cameo and created the word cool and then made it into a card base. It turned out better than I imagined! Gotta love when something you envision comes to life!

This card uses paper from my stash, I'm not even sure of the name. I cut out my stamped image with my Brother Cut N Scan and then popped it up with foam tape. I also added some Crystal Stickles to each of the girls for some added "cool" sparkle! This card is a bit on the large size, measuring 8" x 4.5".

Let's Go To the Movies!

Hi Ai Fans!

There is nothing better than going to the movies with some of your best Girlfriends! I mean who better to laugh, cry or be scared with then your Besties? The Art Impressions Girlfriend Line of stamps are my favourite and this one doesn't disappoint! Today I used the "At the Movies" set to create this cute card!

I am using papers from the Simple Stories "Say Cheese III" collection on my card. I just love this sentiment, too funny and oh so true LOL! It's one of the three sentiments that come in the "At the Movies" set.

Girlfriends Christmas!

It's Friday so that means I am over on the Art Impressions Blog sharing another new release, the "GF Christmas" set!

The set comes with the main image, 6 sentiments and 6 smaller stamps you can use as well! Great value if you ask me!!

I used papers from the Scrapberry's Elegantly Festive 6x6 collection on the card and added Stickles to each of the gals hats! I also used my Brother Cut N Scan to fussy cut around the image and then popped it up with foam tape!

I decided to do a second card using more traditional colours for Christmas!

Hi Ai Fans!
Look who dropped in to entertain you today! It's an oldie but goodie Girlfriend set by Art Impressions! This set is called "The Weigh In Set" and boy can I ever relate LOL! I'm never excited about stepping on the dreaded scale!!

I decided to paper piece their outfits to match the super cute paper from the Doodlebug Cream & Sugar 6x6 collection. Too many donuts will sure make the scale climb LOL! "The Weigh In Set" cracks me up every time!! I think it's the sentiments that go with it that just make this set so adorable!!
