Norman Goat!

Hello!
Baby Goats always get all the attention but I think the High Hopes Image "Norman Goat" deserves some love too LOL! I mean look at him.... cute or what!! I picture him being the Matriach of the family with all the little goats surrounding him as he tells the tales of his life!
I chose papers today from the Echo Park's "A Dog's Tale" 6x6 collection. After stamping and colouring "Norman" with my Copic Markers, I cut him out using the CDD Fancy Frame die set. I inked all the edges of my papers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for added dimension.  Don't you just love the HH Sentiment "Humor Me". I think it suits Norman well! Some Burlap ribbon and enamel dots finish off my card.

Pets Make Life Sweeter!

Ruff, Meow (Hello)!
Pets sure do make life sweeter! I don't what I would have done throughout these past months if I didn't have my fur babies to love on! Since I've spent almost all my time at home (isolation) my dogs Stella & Ally have been my constant companions, following me everywhere! They sure are the best cuddlers and I needed that when I couldn't get my hugs!
Today I am using the My Favourite Things "BB Little Buddies" clear stamp set to create this slim line card. I stamped and coloured the images with my Copic markers. Next I cut them out with my Brother Cut N Scan leaving a small white edge around them. I chose papers from the Echo Park "A Dog's Tail" 6x6 collection. I made some grassy hills with a MFT die and added 2 cutout circles to put the dog and cat in. A sentiment and some banners finish off my card.
Decorated inside using another sentiment from the set.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E11, R20

Shelbert!

Happy Tuesday!
Today I am sharing the adorable "Shelbert" from High Hopes Stamps! He's so happy it's someone's birthday and he's ready to celebrate!
I was going for a clean and simple card. I started by using an embossing folder and embossed the white background with a diamond pattern. I added a bit of colour with the polka dot paper and inked the edges of everything with some Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. A few enamel dots and twine from the balloon to Shelbert's hand and I was finished. I always struggle with CAS cards as I love to use lots of bright fun bright papers with lots of layers.
I die cut the "Turtally Awesome" sentiment also from High Hopes with a balloon die and added twine as the string.
Copics Used:
Turtle: YG01, YG03, YG05, YG07/ E13, E15, E18/ W1, W3
Balloon: B24, B26, B28, B29
Party Hat: R24, R27, R29, Y35, Y38

Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Weekend!
This is the card I made this year for my Dad. He used to have an blue Ford Pickup that he drove until it died! We had some fun in that old truck as kids! My parents even threw a mattress in the back and camped their way around the East Coast of  Canada.
This is one of the first wooden stamps I bought when I just starting into card making. I have no idea who makes it or the stamp name. There is absolutely nothing on the stamp to tell me. I stamped the truck onto some Copic friendly paper and then coloured it with my Copic Sketch Markers. Next using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut it out and also cut 2 background layers to mount it onto. I had fun making the background!!! I dug out my Alcohol Inks in Sailboat Blue and a Pearl Mixative. Using a 6x6 background stamp from SSS called " and some embossing ink, I stamped the background onto Yupo Paper. I used my heat gun to melt the powders. Now comes the fun part.... Using Alcohol Blending Solution and the sailboat drops along with a blending tool I created the fun background. I added a few drops of the Pearl Mixative to give a shiny look in spots. After gluing all the layers together, I popped the truck and sentiment up with some foam squares for dimension.
The sentiments are from an old set I had by Amy R called "All About Dad"which is now retired.
Copics Used:
B34, B37, b39
C00, C1, C2, C5, C7
N2, N3, N5

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there! Hope you have one that is as awesome as mine!

Wedding Couple!

Hello!
I love this "Wedding Couple" digital stamp from Kinda Cute By Patricia Alvarez! They look so happy and I picture this as their first dance!
I chose papers from the Simple Stories "The Story of Us" 6x6 collection as well as pieces from the matching ephemera pack! After sizing and printing my digital image, I coloured the "Wedding Couple" with my Copic Markers. Taking a Gina Marie "Double Roped Oval" die I cut out the image. There is lots of dimension to my card as the wedding cake, love and oval die cut are all popped up with foam tape. You can't tell in the picture but her wedding dress is a very soft pink with glitter pen added to it. A few gold gems finish off my card!
I used more of "The Story Of Us" Ephemera die cuts to decorate the inside of my card.
Copics Used:

Birthday Wishes!

Hello!
Look at this cutie!! It's the "Robot In Saucer" from High Hopes Stamps! Usually we think of Robots and Aliens as being for boys but WHY?! I decided to make this a girl themed "Space" card! I'm sure there are lots of girls that would love this card!
I started my card by ink blending a night sky using Tim Holtz Distress Inks in Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Blueprint Sketch and Black Soot. Then I added some ink splashes using some Imagine Crafts Pico Embellisher in White and Black. Then I decided that the night sky should be sparkly, so I sprayed some Imagine Crafts Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray over the entire background. Next I stamped and coloured my image and cut it out with my Brother Cut N Scan machine leaving a white border. The sentiment is also from HH and is called "Transmitting Birthday Wishes". Some Twine and Clear Glitter pen on the Spaceship window finish off my card.
For a fun element I added an action wobble to my image.
Hopefully in the video you can see the sparkle and the wobble in action.

29 Again???

Hello!
I love this set from Art Impressions called "29 Again". I have used it several times before and it's always a go to when I need to stock up my Birthday cards!
I had this card base designed with papers from the Echo Park "Forward With Faith" 6x6 collection made for a while now. Sometimes I just feel like making the card base and will add the image down the road. I thought this old gal looked cute on this base, so I went ahead and coloured her to match the papers. I fussy cut her out using my Brother Cut N Scan and then popped her up with foam squares for added dimension. The sentiment comes in the set and always gets a giggle!. It's hard to see but the balloon has some glitter pen added to it for a bit of sparkle.
Here's the decorated inside using another Ai sentiment from the "Girlfriends" set.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair: C4, C5, C8
Blues: BG05, BG07, BG09
Apron: RV17, RV19, RV66

I don't know about you...... but I'm always "29"!

Bee Boy!

Hello!
Today I want to share with you my second card for my New Design Team position over at "Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez". Meet the adorable "Bee Boy"! Isn't he just too cute perched on the honey jar?!!
As soon as I saw this image I knew the papers from the Honey Bee "The Bee's Knees" 6x6 collection would be perfect! I started by downloading the image, resizing it and printing it on my Laser Printer. Next using my Copic Markers I coloured this cutie in and then cut the image out using a Gina Marie Venetian Label Die. I backed my image and papers with coordinating cardstock. I added a Whimsy Honeycomb Die cut in the corners to go with my Bee theme. It's hard to see in the picture but I added Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen to the wings, jar topper and label for a sparkly look. Some ribbon, bow and bee sticker finish off my card.
The image is popped up with some foam squares for added dimension.
Here's the decorated inside of my card. You can find the sentiment here.

Pansy Arrangement!

Hi!
I think Pansy's are one of my favourite flowers. I love that they are early bloomers and they can last all summer if you treat them right. I picked all the dead flowers off my pot last year and it bloomed like crazy all summer! And not to mention all the different colours you can get! This is the High Hopes stamp called "Pansy Arrangement".
I decided to colour my Pansy's purple using my Copic Markers (someone special I know loves purple and I was thinking of her as I coloured these *wink*). After colouring the image I cut it out with a Stitched Scallop Nesting Tag die and popped it up on my background with some foam squares. I kept my colour theme simple, just purple and green. The paper is from the Moda Scrap "Let Your Soul Bloom" 6x6 collection. I added a few branches, twine and gold gems to finish off my card.
I decided to use this card as a sympathy card. I love the "Rainbow In Your Heart" sentiment also from High Hopes.

Exciting News!!

Hi!
I am so excited to tell you that I am now part of the Kinda Cute Design Team for 3 months! Kinda Cute belongs to Patricia Alvarez and has the cutest digital images! I can't wait to create more cards with Patricia's designs!

Today I decided to play with the "Chef Doing A BBQ" digital stamp. Since Father's Day is creeping up I thought it would be perfect for Dad or you could even use it as a birthday card!
I started by sizing the image and then printing it with my Laser Printer. Next, using my Copic Markers I coloured in "Chef" and then fussy cut him out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I also cut 2 slightly bigger layers with my cutting machine to place behind the Chef so he stands out against the papers. My papers today are from the Doodlebug "So Much Pun" 6x6 collection. I thought the hamburgers, hotdogs and condiments went perfectly for this BBQ image. You can't tell in the photos but the legs and grates of the BBQ have Clear Glitter pen added to them for a fun look. Some matching enamel dots finish off my card.
Copics Used:

More Notecards!

Hello!
I've been having so much fun making sets of cards lately whether it's a new technique or just to play around. Today I wanted to use my Art Impressions "Block Letter Die Set" as I haven't pulled them out in ages. These cards came together fast and are perfect to send little messages.
I chose papers from the Doodlebug "Simply Spring" 6x6 collection. I cut the words out of the patterned paper and used matching papers behind them. I used some Pretty Pink Posh Stitched Border dies and twine to make each card a bit different. It was fun to colour up the Your Next Stamp "Spring Birds" and cut them out with the matching dies. These cute birds are small and simple to colour. All the words and birds are popped up with foam squares to give the card added dimension.
These cards are so cute and came together very quickly as the design and colouring is simple. I love how fun and bright they are!

Welcome Little One!

Happy Tuesday!
I'm hopping in to share this cute baby card with you today using the High Hopes "Kanga & Joey" stamped image. It's always fascinated me how the Joey (baby) fits in the pouch! It's such a cute image to use for a baby card!
I started my card by stamping and colouring the image with my Copic Sketch Markers. I wanted to try to show some texture to resemble fur so I took a washcloth and some Copic Blending Solution and dabbed it on the coloured image. This technique sort of takes some of the colour out and adds dimension. Next using my Brother Cut N Scan machine I cut the image out leaving a white border around it. I am using papers today from the Carta Bella "It's A Boy" 6x6 collection. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Sm. Little One".
I inked all the edges of my papers with some Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. A few heart shaped enamel shapes finish off my card.
