My dear Mom turned 70 on November 18th and this is the card I made for her this year! My mom is a truly incredible woman who puts everyone before herself! She is a great friend not only to me but to anyone who comes in contact with her! She is an inspiration and I cherish the times we get to spend together!
For this card I used Paper from MME, The Sweetest Thing 6x6 pad "Honey" and coordinating cardstock from my stash. I just love this stamp from My Besties called "Cakes". I coloured the image using my Copic markers.
Copics Used:
Skin, lips: E00, E11, R20, RV17
Eyes: B000
Hair: E43, E44, E47
Top: R81, R83, R85
Skirt, bows: YR20, YR21, YR23
Hat, apron: C0, C1, C3
Stockings: R81, R85
Shoes: W1, W3, W5, W6
Roses, heart: R81, R83
Leaves: YG23
There is lots of layering on this card. After layering the different bottom layer papers, I added a doily before adding the smaller paper layer. Using the "Tilda Swirl" from Memory Box, I cut it out of the pink cardstock and attached it to the smaller paper layer. I cut 2 of S.S.S. "string of hearts" die in both cardstock colours and using foam squares popped it up. I fussy cut out the stamped image and using foam squares added it on top of the "tilda swirl". I also popped up the "18" and the sentiment. I cut out the "nov" using my circuit and added yellow stickles to bling it up. Using the MFT Die-namics "Layered Heart Border", I cut out two strips, one for the outside and one for the inside. It may be hard to see but I also added Crystal Stickles to the roses and decorations on her hat. I used clear Wink of Stella glitter pen on the bows and White Opal Liquid Pearls on the cake icing border.
When you open the card it has a "pop up"! This is my first time using my new Elizabeth Crafts Designs die called "Lucy Label Pop- ups". It is a really cool concept and I had fun decorating it up with a cake cut out with my circuit and the "70" from MFT "Big Birthday Numbers" stamp set. I used some small flower stamps from my stash and my Copic markers to "decorate" the cake. You might see a piece of paper laying on the onside. That's because I thought I had a picture of the inside and went ahead and signed the card only to find out I didn't film the inside LOL. So I had to cover that up to take the picture.
I added dimensional foam squares to the numbers and cake to make it stand out. I am really happy how this card turned out!
Like I said earlier my Mom is so special to many people! I have loved her all my life and I will continue to do so for many more years! She is a true role model for me and I have been forever blessed that I can call her my Mom!
Happy Birthday Mom, I hope you had an amazing day!
