No Waves!

 Happy Tuesday!
This cutie called "Surfing Gabriel" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps, fits the June theme of Summer perfectly! He's catching waves and hanging ten LOL! The sentiment "No Waves" goes perfectly with this image! I tried surfing when we visited Hawaii and let me tell you it's no easy feat. I never did catch a wave or even get standing on the board. I just wasn't coordinated enough lol! Made for a good "blooper" real! Hubby on the other hand did just fine!(argggg lol).
I started my card by stamping Gabriel onto some Copic friendly paper and coloured him in using my Copic Sketch markers. Next using a MFT Stitched Tag die, I cut out the image. I chose papers from the Echo Park "I Love Summer" 6x6 collection. Using a wave die I cut out some waves and added then in layers with foam tape. I took some white craft paint and painted the tips to give it a white cap look. A few enamel dots finish off my card.

Summer Sailing!

 Ahoy!
Today's card is perfect for the Summer June theme over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps. I am using "Andy and Patch", "Summer Sail Boat" and the sentiment called "Ahoy". Sailing is a summer sport here where I live. It's so peaceful watching the sailboats gracefully glide across the water.
I'm using papers today from the Doodlebug "Bar-b-cute" 6x6 collection. I stamped the images onto Copic friendly paper and coloured them in to match the papers. I cut the main image out with a MFT Stitched Square die. The Sailboats are cut out using my Brother Cut N scan. Some ribbon and a few enamel dots finish off my card design.
Here you can see that I popped up the MFT "peek-a-boo Trio" die cut with some foam tape as well as the boats for added dimension. A bit of glitter pen was added to the sun's but it's hard to see in the picture.

Picnic Time!

 Hello!
The June theme over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps  this month is Summer! Nothing says summer more than a picnic!  I haven't been on a picnic for a very long time, but I am going to remedy that this summer for sure! Looks like "Ant's Picnic"  is having some fun! That hotdog should keep them fed for a while LOL.
I started my card by stamping the image onto some Copic friendly paper. I coloured the image in with my Copic Sketch markers to match the papers in the Doodlebug "Bar-b-cute" 6x6 collection. I cut the coloured image out using a Gina Marie Double Roped square die and popped it up with some foam tape for added dimension. The "Picnic Time" sentiment and some enamel dots finish off my card.

No Waves, No Glory!

Hi!
My Hubby and I took a surfing lesson when we were in Hawaii. Boy it sure is harder than it looks and I never did get up on the board, just took lots of tumbles. Hubby made it up a few times and thinks he looked like "Surfer Bob" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Let me tell you, it wasn't quite like that and I have the CD to prove it LOL.
Every once in a while I like to make a Stair Step card. They are fun, easy to make and you can create little scenes. I thought Bob would look perfect surfing on this card base. The sentiment "No Waves" from HH goes perfectly with this card.
I used a stitched wave die in 3 colours of blue and glued them to the "steps". Some are popped up with foam tape for added dimension. I took a sponge, some white ink and dabbed the waves to look like the whitecaps in the Ocean. I love this surf board paper from Bo Bunny's "Beach Therapy" 6x6 collection. The sentiment "No Waves" from HH goes perfectly with this card.
I added some clouds in the background and glued them to acetate so they looked like they are floating in the background. I hand drew the birds on the clouds.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E11, E13, R20, R22
Hair: C6, C7, C9
Trunks: R37, R59, R89
Waves: B000, B00, B01, B63

Let's Waterski!

Hello!
The vault is open over at High Hopes and the Men & Boy's have come out to play! Meet "Waterskiing Bob"! Bob must be on vacation somewhere as it certainly isn't warm enough here yet for water sports LOL. I always love how happy Bob is, he always has a smile on his face!
I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and then used my Copic markers to colour my image to match my papers. Today's papers are from the Doodlebug's "Anchors Away" and Echo Park's "Summer Party" 6x6 collections. After colouring Bob, I cut him out using a stitched square die and them popped that up on my card with foam squares. I used the HH sentiment called "World's Best Father". Some clear glitter pen on the waves and a few enamel dots finish off my card. Waterskiing Bob makes a great Father's Day or even a great birthday card for Dad!
Copics Used:

Lets Read!

Hi!
I'm not sure about anyone else, but Covid has enabled me to read more! Since I'm not going out as much, I've been devouring books. I love the quiet relaxing time spent readingon my deck! Meet the adorable digi called "Mermaid Reading" by Patricia Alveraz for Kinda Cute Digital Stamps!
I printed "Mermaid Reading" onto some Copic friendly paper and coloured her in with my Copic Markers. Next I used dies from the Kat Scrappiness Stitched Scallop Nesting Tag set. Using these fun papers from the Doodlebug "Under the Sea" 6x6 collection, I created my card layout! It's hard to see but on her tail there are little dots of silver gel pen for a fun look. The tags are popped up with foam tape for added dimension to my card. A bit of Stickles on her hair and a ribbon bow finish off my card.
I used more of the Doodlebug "Under the Sea" papers on my decorated inside.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95, R20

Surfer Dude!

Happy Tuesday Everybody!
So Tuesday means it's my turn to post some inspiration over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! With summer right around the corner, I thought "Bob's A Surfer Dude" from High Hopes was perfect for my post today. I have to admit Bob makes it look easy! When we were in Hawaii we took surfing lessons and lets just say I better just stay with card making a surfer LOL. It was a disaster! I don't think I even made it upright once! Hubby on the other hand was a natural!
I am using paper from an older Carta Bella 6x6 collection called "Beach Days". I coloured Bob and then paper pieced his swim shorts and surf board with paper from the pad. Then I used my Brother Cut N Scan to fussy cut out the image. I decided Bob needed to be on an action wobble for a bit of fun!
Here you can see the action wobble and some of the dimension I added to the card using foam squares!
I decorated the inside and added a sentiment from the "Sentiment Set #4" that matches my card theme perfectly!
Here's a short clip of Bob in action!
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95, R20
Hair: E31, E35, E47, E49, E57
Glasses: B28, B29
Waves: BG0000, BG000, BG01, BG02, white gel pen

Happy Thoughts!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
I remember when my kids were young, May brought the opening of the Ice cream store in the small town we lived in. It was a big deal and everyone would walk down to the store after supper with their kids and dogs for the first ice cream cone of the season. This adorable stamp called "Ice Cream For Two" from High Hopes Stamps just reminds me of those special family times.
I coloured my image with my Copic Markers and fussy cut it out using my Brother Cut N Scan machine. I used a SVG file from the Silhouette Store to create my Ice Cream card base. Of course I had to cut it out of papers that match my 2 favourite flavours, Chocolate and Mint Chip. I inked all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for added dimension.
The "Happy Thoughts" sentiment is perfect for the way this memory makes me feel.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E11, E04, R20
Hair: YR21, YR24, YR14, E15, E18

Monthly Challenge Time over at DDS!

Hi DDS Fans!
It's the start of the monthly Challenge over at Digi Doodle Studios! The theme this month is "Mythical/ Magical". Think fairies, unicorns and mermaids! I decided to use the adorable "Amatheia Mermaid".
My card base is a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store. I love the wave cutout and made me feel like "Amatheia" is under water. All the papers I am using are also from DDS and are part of the "Summer Breeze" Digital Paper collection. I made a few "Seaweeds" using a flower die set. I added some glossy accents to the bubble around "Amatheia", and Spectrum Noir Glitter pen on her tail. I thought it would be fun to add some Nuvo Glitter drops to the bubbles on the paper for more glitter!
I also decided to use digital sentiment from the "Mermaid" collection. I added a little starfish brad for a fun element.
More of DDS digital papers and sentiments. I love the tri-fold card base!
I decided to add a bit of Nuvo Mousse and some white paint with a stencil brush to the waves. I wanted to give them a bit of shine and make them look like the different colours of the Ocean.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E95, R20
Hair: E51, E53, E35
Tail: BG10, BG11, BG32, BG45, BG49

Goldfish: YR000, YR04, YR07, YR09, YR27 white gel pen
Bubbles: B000, B01

It's the Mileage!

Hi Ai Fans!
The other day I saw some kids biking like this and remembered I had this stamp called "Bikers" from Art Impressions! Now this pair are definitely not "kids" but I think they are young at heart don't you?!
The "Bikers" stamps is on the larger side so it fit perfectly on an A2 sized card! A few enamel dots were all I needed to finish off my card!
I used the Ai sentiment called "It's the Mileage" which I thought was perfect for this fun loving pair!

Summer Vibe Challenge!

Hello Ai Fans!
It's the second week of the "Summer Vibes" Challenge over on the Art Impressions Blog! I decided to use the "Disco" Set. To me this guy's shirt just screams Summer!
I coloured him up to match my paper choices from the Doodlebug Sweet Summer 6x6 collection. When my Hubby and I have travelled in the past, there always seems to be that one guy that likes to shake his booty LOL. A few drinks and look out. That is what this set reminds me of!
I made 2 cards with identical layouts but used different combinations of paper.
Here you can see his "Booty shake" LOL.

Thanks for stopping by today and I hope you'll join us over on the Ai Blog and share your Summer Vibe cards!

Happy Stamping!
