Kind Of Sickly!

Hello!
There is nothing worse than being under the weather and feeling like crap! But if I got this card in the mail, it sure would cheer me up! This is the adorable "Seymore's Sick Day" and "Better Quickly" sentiment from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
Today I am using papers from an older collection from Echo Park Called "For The Record 2". I stamped my image onto some Copic friendly paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next, I coloured in my image to match the designer papers and cut it out using my Brother Cut N Scan. It's a simple design using different rectangle sizes layered with matching cardstock. Seymore is popped up with foam squares. A scattering of enamel dots finish off my card design.
Copics Used:

Hmmmmm!

Hi!
Hmmmm.......so that's where the goldfish went LOL. This image from High Hopes Stamps just makes me giggle! Meet "Cat-ching Some Rays", who looks like he was up to no good! Love the mouse laughing at him! I thought the sentiment "Won't Hurt" was perfect for this mischievous cat!
I stamped my image on to Copic friendly paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Using my Copic markers, I coloured the image in and then cut it out with this fancy square die. I am using paper from the Echo Park "I Love My Cat" 6x6 designer collection. I inked all the edges of the papers with Distress Ink in Gathered Twigs and then popped the die cut image up with foam tape for added dimension. A bit of twine with a paw print wooden embellishment finishes off my card today.

Get Well Wishes!!

Happy Tuesday!
I love having "Get Well" themed cards on hand! I always think that getting a card when you're under the weather just brightens your day. When I saw the "Spoutin' Off" image with the "Feeling Whale" sentiment from High Hopes Stamps , I knew it would make an adorable card!
I decided to make an "Easel Card" today for something different! I haven't made one in ages and I absolutely love this one! I used my Cameo and a Svg file from Lori Whitelock called "Scalloped Circle Easel Card". The file has all the necessary parts to put together this card quick and easy. After stamping my image onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured it in with my Copic markers. Next I used A Gina Marie "Double Rope Circles" die and cut out my image. I popped it up with foam tape onto the card base. The Svg file shows to use a brad to keep the card in the easel position, but I used the sentiment popped up with foam tape, works perfectly. I don't often add flowers to my card as I'm not the greatest on placement but it worked here! Some glitter pen on the water and spout finishes off my card.

Here you can see how the Easel card folds down flat for mailing.

Get Well!

It's Tuesday!
Tuesday is my favourite day of the week because it's means it's my turn to post a card for High Hopes Stamps! I decided to add another "Get Well" card to my stash. "Dr Allun" and the "Speedy Recovery Background" made the perfect combination to try to cheer someone up!
I started my card design by stamping the background and colouring it in with my Copic markers. Then using a hexagon die, I cut through the card layers to make a "window" for Dr Allun to peek through. I made a red border for the window using two hexagon dies. Next I stamped, coloured and using my Brother Cut N Scan cut out Dr Allun.
Here's the cute Dr. Allun on the inside of the card backed by some MFT Buffalo Brights paper.

Sick Ollie!

Hi!
Poor "Sick Ollie" from High Hopes .... he's feeling a bit under the weather. Ollie is all snuggled in his favourite blanket and tissues are nearby! I hope he feels better soon!
I reorganized my craft room last week and found a bunch of my embossing folders in a drawer. You know the old "out of sight, out of mind" saying. I promised myself the next card I made, I would use one. I thought this heart folder was perfect for Ollie as I am not only sending get well wishes but love as well. I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured it in with my Copic Markers. Next using a Gina Marie Double Roped die, I cut out Ollie. I love the clean and simple design of this card. The Sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Get Well Soon 2". Just a hint of blue cardstock, some white polka dots and Stickles on the tissues finish off my card today
Copics Used:
Giraffe: YR23, YR24, YR27, E35, E37, W4, W5, W7

ICU!

Hello!
My neighbour recently had surgery so I pulled out my Art Impressions stamp set called "Get Well"! You can count on Art Impressions to come up with a fun set to make someone laugh! This image always makes me giggle!
After stamping the images onto some Copic friendly paper, I used my Copic Markers to colour it in. I decided to use papers from my "Scraps Stash" on this card as they were perfect for a male theme. I cut around the image using a die from the Gina Marie's "Big and Little Pierced Dot Rectangle" set. Some enamel dots and twine finish off my 5.5" square card.
Here's the decorated inside with another sentiment from the set.

Nurse Nancy!

Happy Hello!!
I'll let you in on a little secret...... I've been obsessed with watching "Call the Midwife" on Netflix! I've binge watched them all and just loved it! Anything about babies always gets me hooked! "Nurse Nancy" from C.C. Designs reminded me of these ladies for some reason!
I decided to colour "Nurse Nancy" to match these Midwives.
I had to dig through my papers to find some red and baby blue to match my coloured images. I finally found some that worked in the Pink & Main "Beach Bum" 6x6 collection. Some simple layers and a "Get Well" sentiment from my wooden block stash made up my design today. A bit of Stickles for some bling on the red crosses finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E11, R20
Hair, bag and shoes: C4, C7, C9

Nurse Tilda!

Yahoo! It's Friday!!
I'm back with a few more "Get Well" cards to get my stash built back up! Today I dug deep and got out  my Magnolia images. I found "Nurse Tilda" that I hadn't inked up yet! She's such a cutie, I can't believe I forgot I had her!
After stamping and colouring the images with My Copic Markers, I fussy cut out one and used a Gina Marie Loopy Oval die on the other. I decided on papers from the Carta Bella "Flora No.2" 6x6 collection. I used a "XO" border die from the Pink & Main "Heart Borders" die set. The "Feel Better" sentiment is from a MFT Pure Innocence set I've had forever.  I added some Crystal Stickles to the red crosses for a bit of bling.
I gave this card away to our Neighbour who just had knee surgery. It sure brightened her day!
This one's ready to go out next when I need a Get Well card!
The decorated inside and the sentiment is a wooden block stamp I've had for ages.

Dr Orders!

Hi!
A dear neighbour of ours had surgery and I went to grab a card and realized I was all out! So I got out these cuties from My Favourite Things and got busy! Meet the "Dr Orders" and " Super Hero In Scrubs" sets.
I started by stamping my images and sentiment on to some alcohol ink friendly paper. Using my Copics, I coloured in the images and then fussy cut them out. I decided to make my own background this time instead of using patterned paper. I got out some water colour paper and a "Moroccan Lattice" Stencil. Using a blending sponge and some Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry I made the background. I concentrated the colour more towards the centre and lighter on the edges. Then I just added some matching pink cardstock behind the background panel and sentiment. I popped up the sentiment and images with some foam tape for a bit of added dimension. Some sequin stickers finish everything off!
Copics Used:
Skin: E000, E01, E11, E13, R20
Hair: E31, E35, E57, E79/ E08, E18, YR14, YR18
Labcoat: C00, C0, C1
Scrubs: RV17, RV19, R89/ BG93, BG96, BG99
Shoes: N3, N5, N6

In the coming posts I will be adding more Get well cards as my stash is really low!

Take Two!

Howdy HH & OCS Fans!
Oh My Gosh, how cute is this little Gopher?!!! I couldn't resist and had to make one more card from the new  High Hopes "Get Well" collection! Meet "Gopher Tea Nurse". This adorable nurse is sure to brighten your day!
This is my first time trying alcohol inks and making backgrounds. I love the way my background turned out and the marbleizing texture the inks created! I coloured my image to match and cut it and the background layer out with my Brother Cut N Scan. I popped my image and "Take Two" sentiment  up with some foam tape for added dimension. A few Studio Katia sequins finish off my card.
On the inside of my card I used the HH "Spirits A Lift" sentiment.
Copics Used:
Gopher: E33, E35, E37, E39, E29, R20, R22
Cup: FV2, BV13, YG23

We Gnome Best!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
I am absolutely in love with this pair of Gnomes from the new "Get Well" release over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This is the "Gnoming You Better" red rubber stamp. I don't know about you, but if these two walked in my room I'd be cheered up immediately! They just bring a smile to my face!
I am using paper from an older Pink and Main "Beach Bum" 6x6 collection on today's card. I stamped and coloured the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and cut them out using the Gina Marie "Loopy Squares" die set. I wanted to colour the male Gnome in "hospital greens" and added glitter pen to the red elements and the medical instruments. The "We Gnome Best" sentiment is also from the new "Get Well" collection.
On the inside I used the HH "Stacked Get Well" sentiment and also stamped the "Gnoming You Better" image in the bottom corner with Distress ink in Scattered Straw.
Copics Used:

Speedy Recovery!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
Today I'm sharing another card using a stamp from the new "Get Well" Collection over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Meet the adorable "Injured Bear". I'm not sure what kind of accident She was in but boy is she stylin' in that flowered hospital gown and hot pink cast LOL!
I was trying to look at my dies differently and see how I could use them in a different way. I decided to make the die into the card base rather than adding the cut piece to an already designed base. I made a 4.25 x 5.5 card in pink and then cut it out with the die. I just put the one edge of the die just off the paper so I would still have my fold. It turned into a cute stitched and scalloped card base. Then I added layers using paper from the Doodlebug French Kiss 6x6 collection. I fussy cut my image with my Brother Cut N Scan and then created a back piece for the image as well to give it a bit of definition.
I popped up my layered image with foam tape for added dimension to my card. I also added Glitter Pen to the metal parts on the wheel chair although it's hard to see in the picture.
I used the new HH "Speedy Recovery" sentiment and some of the leftover papers on the inside.
Copics Used:
Bear: E55, E57, E59, R22
Wheelchair: T1, T3, T5, T7, T8, T9/ Y32, Y34
Cast: RV04, RV06, RV09
Head Bandage: W1, W3, W5

Today's card was more of a simple design with the stamp as the focal point. I hope you liked it!
