Christmas in July #5

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
It's the 2nd last day of the "Christmas in July" theme over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! Since Christmas is my favourite Holiday, it's been super fun making these cards when the temperatures are hot LOL. This is the rubber stamp "Buddy's Gift Block" from High Hopes
This is my 5th card in my "Christmas in July series" and keeping with my theme, I have once again used non traditional colours on my card. I coloured "Buddy" up to match the papers I am using from the Penny Black "Festive & Frosty" 6x6 collection. I always love to add lots of layers to my cards. This one is no different! Buddy is popped up with foam squares as is the ornament paper as well. Added dimension just makes your card pop I think. All the designer and cardstock papers are inked on the edges with Vintage photo Distress Ink. This I feel just adds another layer of dimension. A piece of ribbon, bow, tree gem and Stickles on Buddy's hat finish off my design today.
I am using the High Hopes sentiment called "Dot Warm Winter Wishes" on the decorated card inside.
Copics Used:
Buddy: C0, C1, C3, C4, C7, C9
Greens: BG11, BG32, BG34
Purples: V15, V19/ V04, V06, V09 (dots on present)
Bird: B91, B95, B97

Christmas in July #4

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
It's "Christmas in July" over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! It sure has been fun creating these Christmas cards through the heat wave we've been having LOL! This stamp is called "Let the Snow Begin".....hmmmmm I almost want it to be true just to get a break from the heat. I know, don't complain right.... we had an awful Spring and I really do like the warmer weather.
I am using papers today from the MME Sugar Plum 6x6 collection that I've had for awhile now. I love using non traditional colours for Christmas and these papers fit the bill! I coloured in the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and then using my Brother Cut N Scan cut the image out as well as a cardstock layer to put behind it. Lots of layers and all the paper edges are inked with Vintage Photo Distressed ink for my card design. I used some Stampendous Spoonful of Snow for a fun dimensional and sparkly effect.   Now I know you are supposed to add the "snow" and heat with your heat gun from underneath. Me and glitter don't go so well together and it usually flies all over the place LOL. This time I tried using some Glue Gloss first (looks like a tube of lipgloss) then put the "Snow" on top, pressed it down a bit and then melted it with my heat gun. It worked so much better and I wasn't wearing glitter all weekend LOL.
I used foam tape on my stamped image for added dimension.
On my decorated card inside, I used the "Seasons Greetings 2" stamp.
Copics Used:
R20, R21, R22, R24
BG13, BG15, BG23
C00, C2, YR04, YR09
B000, B00, B01

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
It's the 3rd week of the "Christmas in July" theme over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs. It sure has been fun making Christmas themed cards and the best part..... I have them to mail this Christmas! Can you say win, win!! This poor Snowman is having a struggle getting his gifts wrapped and I don't think those little birds are helping him at all LOL. Meet "All Wrapped Up" by High Hopes Stamps!
I coloured "All Wrapped Up" with my Copic Sketch markers and fussy cut the image out using my Brother Cut N Scan electronic machine. I decided house papers from the LDRS "Holly Jolly Holidays" 6x6 collection. I love the blue and red combo's and that present paper was perfect for my poor snowman! I paper pieced the presents for a fun look. I added some Liquid Appliqué and Stickles for a dimensional sparkly look.
On the decorated inside I added a scalloped border and the "Candy Cane and Mistletoe" Sentiment also from High Hopes.

All You Need Is Love!

Happy Saturday DDS Fans!
I don't know about you, but I get the most unconditional love from my dogs Ally & Stella! They are the best companions and it doesn't matter if I'm gone for 5 min or 5 hours, the love and excitement I get when I walk in the door, is like no other! This adorable stamp is from the Digi Doodle Studios "Cutie Paws" collection and is called "Maddy and MollyYorkie". I had a "Morkie" (Maltese Yorkie cross) and this image just reminds me of Buster!
I started my design by first sizing my digital image on my computer and then printing it off on my printer. Then I coloured Maddy with my Copic Sketch Markers. I am using papers from the Penny Black "Golden Moments" and Echo Park's "Dots & Stripes Fall" 6x6 collections. I layered all my designer papers with cordinating cardstock and used this layout I found on Pinterest under "card sketches". The sentiment is from the Digi Doodle Studios "Cutie Paws" digital sentiment collection.A piece of ribbon, flower and some glitter pen finish off my card.

Christmas In July #2

Happy Tuesday HH & OCS Fans!
I'm popping in today to share with you my Christmas in July card for High Hopes Rubber Stamps! The Design Team is sharing Christmas themed cards all month to inspire you! Today I am using the adorable "Christmas Gofer". I just love those chompers of his!!
I coloured up this cutie using my Copic Sketch Markers and cut him out with a circle die. I decided to use papers from the Mod Scraps "Let It Snow" 6x6 collection. The whole collection is in the blues and it makes for a fun non traditional card. I added some liquid appliqué to his pom pom and made some snow drops falling around him. Once the appliqué dries you heat it with your heat gun and the drops puff up. I also added some Diamond Stickles to his scarf. The paper edges are all inked with Distress Oxide Ink in Faded Jeans. Some die cut snowflakes and ribbon finish off my card.
On my decorated inside I am using the High Hopes "Peace, Love, Joy" sentiment, and some layered papers cut with a stitched scallop border die.
Copics Used:
Gofer:  E53, E55, E57, E59/ nose E47, E49
Blues: B93, B95, B97
Ornaments: B93, B95, E51, E59

Christmas In July #1

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
This month the theme over on the High Hopes & One Crazy stamper Blogs is "Christmas in July"! Christmas seems a long way off but it always has a way of creeping up on us doesn't it?! This adorable stamp from High Hopes and is called "Skating Snowlady". I love her little friend skating along with her!
This card base is an A2 Gatefold that I created with an SVG file and my Silhouette. I chose papers from the Photoplay Frosty Friends 6x6 collection. I love that plaid paper and it's in non traditional colours, so it's neat for my "Christmas in July" post. Her scarf is paper pieced with matching papers. No bling on my image this time, just a few pom poms on their hats!
Here's the decorated inside with the High Hopes Sentiment called "Work of Art".
Copics Used:
Snowman: C1, C00

Digi Doodles July Challenge!

Hello DDS Fans!
Happy July 1st! It's Canada Day for all us Canadians! It's also the start of the new "Summer Challenge" over on the Digi Doodles Challenge Blog.  Today I'm sharing with you the adorable "Mishell Mermaid" digital stamp from Digi Doodle Studios
I've been waiting for the right moment to use my Echo Park "Let's Be Mermaid's" 6x6 collection of designer paper. When I saw this stamp I knew the stamp and paper would be perfect together! I started by downloading and sizing my image on my computer and then printing it off on my printer. I coloured the "Mishell Mermaid" with my Copic Markers and then cut the image out with a die. I also used Glitter Pen on the body of the mermaid and some Whie Gel pen on the octopus. There is also Nuvo Jewel drops on the bubbles for a fun look. A layered background and some enamel dots finish off my card. The sentiment in the corner is from the DDS digital sentiment collection called "Mermaid".
Here you can see the popped up layers that add a fun dimension to my design.
