We Gnome Best!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
I am absolutely in love with this pair of Gnomes from the new "Get Well" release over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This is the "Gnoming You Better" red rubber stamp. I don't know about you, but if these two walked in my room I'd be cheered up immediately! They just bring a smile to my face!
I am using paper from an older Pink and Main "Beach Bum" 6x6 collection on today's card. I stamped and coloured the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and cut them out using the Gina Marie "Loopy Squares" die set. I wanted to colour the male Gnome in "hospital greens" and added glitter pen to the red elements and the medical instruments. The "We Gnome Best" sentiment is also from the new "Get Well" collection.
On the inside I used the HH "Stacked Get Well" sentiment and also stamped the "Gnoming You Better" image in the bottom corner with Distress ink in Scattered Straw.

Love Me A Fairy!

Hello DDS Fans!
I just love fairies! As a child I truly believed they existed and read everything I could get my hands on about them. I would look in the gardens in search of one and even today I have my own Fairy Garden hoping maybe one will land there! Today's Card uses the adorable "Isabella Curly Girl" digital image from Digi Doodle Studios.
I went with a simple design today. I wanted to show case the image. I used my new Lawn Fawn Quilted Backdrop die to create the white background. I added blue cardstock behind it so just a touch shows through to match Isabella's dress. Of course all Fairies need a bit of sparkle so I added Stickles to her dress, wings and the little butterfly. Some cobalt blue sequins finished my card off.
Originally I had cut the circle out of the background thinking that I would inlay the image. But It looked so much better popped up with foam tape. It just gave it that little bit of dimension it needed. I
I added a sentiment from the DDS "Pixie Wishes" digital sentiment collection.
Here you can see the dimension added to my card. Dimension I feel just adds so much to your projects!

Speedy Recovery!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
Today I'm sharing another card using a stamp from the new "Get Well" Collection over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Meet the adorable "Injured Bear". I'm not sure what kind of accident She was in but boy is she stylin' in that flowered hospital gown and hot pink cast LOL!
I was trying to look at my dies differently and see how I could use them in a different way. I decided to make the die into the card base rather than adding the cut piece to an already designed base. I made a 4.25 x 5.5 card in pink and then cut it out with the die. I just put the one edge of the die just off the paper so I would still have my fold. It turned into a cute stitched and scalloped card base. Then I added layers using paper from the Doodlebug French Kiss 6x6 collection. I fussy cut my image with my Brother Cut N Scan and then created a back piece for the image as well to give it a bit of definition.
I popped up my layered image with foam tape for added dimension to my card. I also added Glitter Pen to the metal parts on the wheel chair although it's hard to see in the picture.
I used the new HH "Speedy Recovery" sentiment and some of the leftover papers on the inside.
Copics Used:
Bear: E55, E57, E59, R22
Wheelchair: T1, T3, T5, T7, T8, T9/ Y32, Y34
Cast: RV04, RV06, RV09
Head Bandage: W1, W3, W5

Today's card was more of a simple design with the stamp as the focal point. I hope you liked it!

Shadow Box card!

Welcome HH & OCS Fans!
It's Tuesday again so that means it's my turn to post some inspiration for you! Today's card is called a "Shadow Box" card and it was easy and so fun to make! I followed along with Jennifer McGuire's Video and in no time I had this adorable card made! On the front of my card I am using the High Hopes "Teacup Pup".
Of course I had to use papers from the Doodlebug "Puppy Love" 6x6 collection! I mean it was a no brainer as they match my dog theme perfectly! I added a bit of Stickles to the dog bone for a fun element. The sentiment is also from HH and is called "Smiling". A nice brown bow finishes everything off.
Here you can see when you open up the card, a shadow box pops up on the inside. I created a cute little scene on the inside using High Hope's "Prancing Pup", "Puppy Pals" and the "Blossom Tree Branch". I added some inked clouds, Stitched Vally, Grassy Edge and a fence to help create my little scene. Of course the inside had to have sparkle too, so I added Stickles to the flower centres.
Here is a better view of the "shadow box" construction.
I love that the shadow box lays flat for mailing! I added some cute HH  paw prints using the "Cat and Dog Paws" stamp across my envelope flap.
Copics Used:
E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
C00, C1, C3, C4, C5, C7, C9
R32, R35, R37, Y18, W1, W3

I think this is the most images I have ever used on one card LOL!

Thinking of You!

Hello DDS Fans!
I don't know about you but I'm done with winter!! Enough already Mother Nature LOL. I decided that for Today's Inspirational post for Digi Doodle Studios I would make a Spring themed card to cheer myself up and hopefully you as well! When I saw this adorable digital stamp called "Little Elijah", I knew he would be up for the task! Spring is all about flowers, sunny skies and baby animals and "Little Elijah" makes me feel happy!
I decided to use papers from an older Doodlebug collection called "Easter Express", I die cut a "window" out of the paper and then hand stitched a border using some twine and a craft needle. I popped the flower paper up with foam tape and then inlayed my image for a dimensional look. Some enamel dots and a paper bow felt like the perfect embellishments. You can't tell in this picture but the blue sky has Clear Glitter Pen added to it for a bit of sparkle and shine.
Here you can see the dimension to my card.
On the inside I used more of the matching papers and a sentiment from the Digi Doodles "Friendship" collection.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E33, E34, E37, E39

Inside Spinner Card!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
Today I am sharing with you my first "Inside Spinner" card inspired by Jennifer McGuire. When I saw her video I knew I wanted to try one of this cute interactive cards. I decide to make a Get Well Card and use the adorable "Valerie Nurse Angel" from High Hopes Stamps.
I decided to use papers from the Echo Park "Have Faith" 6x6 collection. I coloured my image with my Copic Markers and then fussy cut it out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I popped both the die cut and my image up with foam tape for extra dimension to my layers. I added Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen to the red cross, bandaids and her wings for a touch of sparkle.
On the inside is the surprise spinning element. I used the HH "Bandaid" to create the spinner with. All you have to do is wind it up before you close it and then when the recipient opens the card the bandaid spins and hopefully brings a smile to their face to cheer them up. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Better Quickly".
Here's a short video of the card in action.
