Filled With Love!

Happy Tuesday!
Welcome to another card for the "Christmas in July" release over at High Hopes Stamps! If you haven't stopped by the online store, you must, there are so many adorable stamps in this release! I get to play with the adorable "Penguin Love" today! I've said it before, but my Grandma loved penguins! Everytime I see one, it brings back warm and fuzzy feelings! Gosh I miss her so much!
I decided to use non-traditional colours for my card today! I just thought the Photoplay "Kringle & Co" 6x6 collection was perfect for these cuties! I just love the black and red combination! I stamped my image, coloured it with my Copic markers and then cut it out using a die. I decided to use the High Hopes "Sm Script Filled With Love" sentiment a bit different than it comes. I stamped it and then cut it in half so I could place it on the top and bottom of my card. Some Crystal Stickes on the hats and glitter pen on the iceberg finish off my card.

Birthday Wishes!

Happy Tuesday!
It's "Christmas In July" over at High Hopes Stamps! I have lots of friends that have birthdays in December, so instead of making this a "Christmas Card", I decided to make it a birthday card! High Hopes "Lil' Snowbird" is beyond adorable and perfect for one of my Besties!
To start, I stamped my image onto Copic friendly paper and coloured it in with my Copic Sketch markers. I am using papers from the Bella Blvd. "Santa Squad" 6x6 collection. I chose papers from this designer collection that didn't scream Christmas and they were perfect for my Birthday theme. Using a Gina marie Double Looped Oval die, I cut out the coloured image. I thought the High Hopes "Bird Told Me" sentiment was perfect for this image! A white gel pen was used to make polka dots on her bow and mitts to match with the ribbon bow I made. Some Stickles and glitter pen add that touch of sparkle I love so much!

Ho Ho Ho!

Hi!
I hate to say it, but before we know it Santa will be on his way to all the good girls and boys (parents too)! Since we are celebrating "Christmas In July" with the Christmas re-release over at High Hopes Rubber Stamps, I had to make at least one card with Santa in it! This is the super cool "Santa's Here" red rubber image.
A simple design today using papers from the Doodlebug "Nite Before Christmas" 6x6 collection. I stamped "Santa's Here" with Memento ink onto some Copic Friendly paper. Using my Copic Sketch markers, I coloured Santa in. I decided to use a tag die and put it on a bit of a slant for some added interest.  Some enamel dots and Stickles on the fur trim finish off my card.
I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Ho Ho Ho", but I fussy cut them out using my manicure scissors and then popped them up with foam tape. Here you can see the added dimension it brings to my card.
Copics Used:
Reds: R35, R46, R59
Black/grey: C00, C0, C1, C3, C6, C7, C9
Skin: E21, E11, R20
Chimney: E08, E95, E97, E99
Santa Sack: E31, E33, E35
Sack Contents: E25, E29, Y35, Y38, RV55, YG03, YG17

Think Snow!

Hello!
It's a little hard to think "Christmas in July" especially with all the hot humid weather we've been having LOL! But that's what the Design Team is doing over on the High Hopes Blog! Lora has opened the vault and re-released a fun Christmas collection. What better time to get a jump start on your Christmas cards then now, when we are spending time cool in the house with the A/C on! Snowmen are one of my favourite Christmas/Winter images and this darling is called "Let's Skate" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps.
I decided to use papers from a very old Bo Bunny collection called "Snowfall". I've been hoarding it for years, as I love the blues and brown tones together. After stamping my image onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured the image to match my papers. I took a White gel pen and added some fun polka dots to her hat and mitts. Next using a stitched oval die, I cut out the coloured image. I decided to ink all the edges of my papers with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo to add more interest and dimension. Some snowflakes with the High Hopes "Think Snow" sentiment add to my card design. Everything ties together with the ribbon and matching enamel dots.
