Bo Bunny Enchanted Garden Card

One of my craft "resolutions" was to try to enter into more card challenges. So today I designed this card to enter into:

I didn't have time to film and edit a video this time so instead I'll list the steps in making this card:

  • pick out the papers you want to use
  • stamp your image with Memento ink in Tuxedo Black on Copic friendly paper
  • colour the image with Copic sketch markers that compliment your paper choices
  • fussy cut out your image
  • I used a 5 1/2" square pre-made card
  • cut your base layer of card stock at 5 1/2" x 5 1/2"
  • cut your patterned paper piece at 5 3/8 x 5 3/8"
  • using your metal dies cut out your desired shapes (I use a Cuttlebug machine)
  • Ink all your paper edges with Distress Ink in your choice of colour
  • glue everything onto your base layer but don't attach to the pre-made card yet
  • add your ribbon, I just tape it onto the back of the base layer
  • now glue your base to the pre-made card
  • pop dot your image so it stands out and adds dimension
  • assemble the inside of your card
  • add any embellishments to the front and inside of your card
  • last step for me always is to add any thing "wet" like Stickles or glossy accents as since you are finished with your card they will have time to dry

Haul Video #2

Hi everyone!

Well we are finally home from our trip out East and back to normal. We had a wonderful trip and saw some very beautiful parts of Canada! I always love coming home to "crafty" mail! Imagine my delight when I opened the mailbox and saw 2 parcels for me (wohoooo!). So here is another haul video showcasing my purchases from Prairie Paper Haven and Simon Says Stamp. I posted links to all the goodies below the video.

So now that I'm home it's back to the craft room for me! I sure did miss being in here. I hope you enjoyed this video and now off to create some cards!

Tilda stamped card with Kraft Paper

Hi all!
So for today I made this card to enter into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge on their Monday Blog called Witch Kraft. You could be witchy or just use Kraft paper.  One of my personal challenges is to try to use items from my craft room that I haven't used or used in along time. I have to stop hoarding LOL. The only problem with that is…….the stamped Magnolia Tilda image and the Elegant Bouquet embossing folder are no longer available. Sorry about that I didn't realize that when I went ahead and used them on this card. I did film a tutorial on this card so there is a video at the bottom of this post and on YouTube. I have also linked to the Simon Says Stamp and One Crazy Stamper online stores where you can find the items I show in the video.

I am entering this card in:

I mentioned in the video that when I filmed the section on colouring Tilda, I didn't realize I was out of the frame and that my hands were also in the way so you couldn't see the Copic colouring, I apologize for that! Here are the colours I used:

Face: E00, E11, R20
Hair: E31, E33, E35, E37
Top, Socks and Bow: YR04, YR07, YR09
Pants and Hat: E51, E53, E55
Shoes: YR02, YR04, W5, W7

Supplies:
The card stock is just from my stash and I think I got it at Michaels.
Magnolia Stamps: Summer Tilda with hat (retired)
Stampin' Up: Elegant Bouquet Embossing Folder (retired)

Well I hoped you enjoyed this card tutorial, I'm still working on my film and editing skills. I'm slowly getting better so just hang in there LOL. I hope everyone has a great long weekend ahead! Here in Ontario the kids go back to school on September 2, 2014 so I am sure the parents are getting excited! Some kids will be excited and some not (like your teenagers lol). I can't believe the summer is gone, where did it go?
