Girls Can Play Basketball Too!!

It's Tuesday!
I am over on the High Hopes Stamps blog today with my adorable card using the new stamp called "Dribble Master". How awesome is it that High Hopes  has some girl sport themed images?!
Doodlebug has the perfect 6x6 paper pad called Slam dunk that worked perfectly with my basketball themed card! I used my MISTI to cut out the SVG file to stamp the image and for the background mat. This little cutie has Clear Wink of Stella on all the orange coloured clothing. I drew the stitching around the sentiment and finished everything off with a few YNS Gumdrops.
I searched the internet for "girl basketball sayings" and used what I found on the front and inside of my card! LOVE IT!

Bloom Where You're Planted!

Hi Everyone!
Today I wanted to share with you a card I am entering into the Monthly Challenge for May over at From The Heart Stamps! The stamps are so darn cute over there and if you play the first month the next month you get the Challenge image for free! How cool is that?!! This months digital image is called Hamlet Pigwit in Planter.
I decided to use papers from the Pebbles Garden Party 6x6 collection. Once I printed the digital stamp I cut it out with a circle die and added a Spellbinder Lacey Circle behind it. I love the little Forget me not seed package image that was in the paper pad, it makes a great embellishment. A few enamel flowers and a cute banner and my card was finished.
Some of the paper scraps and one of the 7 sentiments that come with the digital set.
Copics Used:
Pig: R000, R00, R01, R02, R11
Barrel: E41, E43, E44, E47, E49
Leaves & Grass: G24, G28
Butterfly: YR02, YR04
Flowers: R24, R27, R29/ RV04, RV06, RV09/ V04/ Y35, Y38/ B02

I'm A Guest!

Hello!
I'm so excited to be over on the Inspired By All The Little Things blog today as a Guest Designer!!! My talented friend Karen asked me to be a Guest and of course I said yes!

I was asked to look at the inspiration photo below and create something!
I was inspired to use the colours in the picture as my background. Funny enough I had just purchased a YNS Build a Bike die set, so of course it fit perfectly with the inspiration photo!
I recently purchased one of the Ken Oliver Color Burst sets and was so excited to get it out and play with it. I tried a bunch of different techniques.
I decided the use the Brick look for my cards. I used the MFT Brick Wall Stencil, Color Burst powders in Pthalo Green & Ultramarine Blue. To obtain this look I put a bit of powder on my craft mat and added some water to it. Then using the stencil and a Distress Ink applicator, I sponged it over the stencil. Once I got it how I wanted it to look, I took another piece of watercolour paper, turned the stencil over rubbed the access ink off onto the paper. It creates a "negative" of the stencil!
I then die cut my bike and added an inlay of the Hello die. I added some yellow accents layered and some coordinating cardstock behind it.
For this card I decided to make it into a shaker card. I used my Fuse tool and an empty Pocket Page to create the little packet of sequins. Then I glued it behind the cut out window. I adhered the front panel to the card base using some foam tape, which pops it up helps give the sequins room to move. Another bike die cut, some clear sequin and a stamped sentiment finish everything off!
I used a piece from one of the other samples I made to layer behind my sentiment on the inside!

Thanks so much Karen and Inspired By All The Little Things for asking me to be a Guest on your blog! I had a blast!

Happy Stamping!
