Penguin Family

Hi HH Fans!
For today's "Christmas in July" post over on the High Hopes Blog I am sharing with you a little gift set I made using the adorable "Penguin Family".
I love this little family and thought they would be super cute paired with the Winter wonderland Background stamp. I used my MISTI to create the scene, which worked super easy! I also added the High Hopes "Think Snow" sentiment on the front of my card. When I coloured the trees I left a bit uncoloured so that I could add some White Wink of Stella to make it look like snow on the branches. A bow with a candy gem finished off my card.
On the inside, more of the matching papers and a sentiment called "Holiday All Year".
The little Kraft Paper bag is a Dollar Store find and I just added paper to match from the Echo Park Tis The Season 6x6 collection. I tied a bunch of ribbon on the side for a fun embellishment.

In the bag you could put a small present or gift card but I made a small magnet for fun out of the same image! I recently purchased the Xyron Creative Station Lite, which has a laminate/ magnetic combo rather than just adhesive. Super cool and a fun way to make something different with your stamps!

TGIF!

Howdy Ai Fans!
"Thank Goodness It's Friday" and with that being said I thought the "Robe Spinner" and "Robe Spinner dies" were the perfect sets to use, especially with that adorable sentiment!
The Spinner sets are easier to use than you would think, especially if you have the matching dies! Just stamp and color your image, cut it out with the dies and assemble together adding a piece of string in the middle. Cut a "window out of your card and layer the string between the paper layers, centering your image. And there you have it! Wind up the image and watch it spin!!
This card is what happens when you forget to add the image to the paper layers before gluing it down LOL. So what's a girl to do...... put it on an action wobble for a totally new idea!
Mistakes can always be changed into something else, just use your imagination!
Copics used:
Skin E00, E21, E11, R20
Nightie & Slippers: R81, R83, R85, R89
Hair: C1, C3, C5
Housecoat: paper pieced with matching papers

Happy Stamping!

Happy 29th Birthday Art Impressions!

Hi Ai Fans!
Wow Art Impressions Stamps has turned 29!! That's a long time to be in this business and a huge congrats goes out to them! To help celebrate I made a card using the Girlfriends "Giant Cake" set. The sentiment on the balloon is from the "29 Again" stamp set.
I am using papers from the Echo Park Party Time 6x6 collection! I added a banner from Your Next Stamp called "Fishtail Flag Banner" and the balloons are a die from Simon Say Stamp called "Celebration Time". I also added Clear Wink Of Stella on the icing and party hats! Don't you just love the added twine for the balloon strings!
On the inside I used one of the sentiments that comes with the "Giant Cake" Set
