Honey Buns!

Hi Ai Fans!
This week the Design Team at Art Impressions is doing a product swap with Thermoweb. Since Easter is so close I decided to use the Ai "Honey Buns" set
Here's some of the goodies I was sent to play with.
I decided to use the Deco Foil in Amethyst Watercolor and some Heidi Swapp Minc paper for my card background.
I placed the paper and foil in the laminating folder and ran it through my Minc Mini.
The foil reacted to the toner on the paper and the "black dots" now become covered with the gorgeous Amethyst colour!
Here you can kind of see how pretty the foil is. It's really hard to capture how gorgeous it is with my camera.
I love the Easy Cut Adhesive! I put a small piece on the back of the cardstock I wanted to die cut and ran it through my Big Shot. Now all I have to do is peel off the back layer and it's sticky and ready to glue down on my card.
I used the Sticky Tape Runner to adhere the image, sentiment and background paper to pieces of cut cardstock.
Using the 3D Foam Strips I used it to pop up the background and sentiment.
Here you can see the added dimension the 3D Foam Strips add to my card. I also used an Action Wobble to make the Bunny's butt wiggle!
Here's the cute decorated inside. This sentiment is from the "Anthonie" set.
Copics Used:
E00, E01, E33, E35, E37, R21

Thanks Thermoweb for letting me try out some goodies!

Swagger?

Hi Ai Fans!
It's the second week of the Art Impressions Challenge called "Wish You Felt Better" and the release of the new Ai People stamp sets. I got to play with the "Swagger set". This guy reminds me of when my Hubby broke his ankle. Now, he didn't have roller-skates on but boy he sure could move on his crutches. I couldn't keep up LOL.
The sentiment that comes with the set just cracks me up. The cast is an extra stamp so you don't have to use it if you don't want to. I'm using paper from the Bo Bunny Mama-Razz collection and paper pieced his shirt with some of the matching paper. I fussy cut the cast and popped it up on a foam square. All my edges are inked with Tim Holtz Distress ink in Vintage Photo. And to follow along with the Challenge I used felt for the button embellishment.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E02, E04, E11, R20
Hair: C2
Pants: E31, E33, E35, E37
Skates: C1, C4, W5, W8
Crutches: W5, W8, Silver Wink of Stella

Easter Greetings!

Hi Ai Fans!
It's time to start thinking about Easter again! This is "Anthonie"! I know he's supposed to be more of a male bunny but I wanted to show you that you could also make him into "Antoinette" LOL! You can really get either a male or female card from this image, depending on how you dress Anthonie.
In the Anthonie set you also get a basket and sentiment. I masked off my bunny image and made him look like he is carrying the basket of eggs! My paper is from on older Doodlebug collection called Sugar Shoppe. Always love the fun and bright patterns Doodlebug designs! I decided to paper piece Anthonie's outfit for a different look then just colouring it. A few enamel dots and Crystal Stickles on the Easter egg finished everything off.
Copics Used:
Bunny: C0, C1, C3
Basket: E40, E42, E43, E44
Eggs: RV04, RV06, RV09/ Y21, Y23/ BG11, BG13/ R20, R24

CAS Card Set!

Hi!!
I finally got around to using this beautiful stamp set called "Shake a Tail Feather" from Local King Rubber Stamp Company that I got in the Fall from the Richmond Hill Scrapfest. If you know me at all you know that I LOVE Peacocks and even have a Peacock themed guest bathroom LOL. Of course as soon as I saw these I knew they were coming home with me!
The Stamp set also has a "Shake a Tail Feather" matching die set you can purchase which really made using these super easy!
I stamped these peacock in the Hero Arts Ombre Pool to Navy ink pad. I love how they turned out and will sure be purchasing more of the Ombre ink pads in the future. I also used embossing folders to create a nice texture to the white cardstock.

Embossing Folders Used:
Darcie: Large Petal
Couture Creations: Petal Pleasures
Stamping Up: Elegant Bouquet
Bringing Crafts To You: Spots & Dots
For the sentiments I used words from the Little B Handwritten die set. First I cut them out of adhesive backed foam and then cut a second set from some paper with the Ombre ink applied. It makes for easy application of the foam when it already has adhesive on he back and I just glued the ombre die cuts on top of their matching foam ones.

Now I have a nice set of cards to give as gift. I was thinking of adding the envelopes and tying a big ribbon to keep them together as a set. I hope your having a great day and thanks for stopping by!
Happy Stamping
