Surfer Dude!

Happy Tuesday Everybody!
So Tuesday means it's my turn to post some inspiration over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! With summer right around the corner, I thought "Bob's A Surfer Dude" from High Hopes was perfect for my post today. I have to admit Bob makes it look easy! When we were in Hawaii we took surfing lessons and lets just say I better just stay with card making a surfer LOL. It was a disaster! I don't think I even made it upright once! Hubby on the other hand was a natural!
I am using paper from an older Carta Bella 6x6 collection called "Beach Days". I coloured Bob and then paper pieced his swim shorts and surf board with paper from the pad. Then I used my Brother Cut N Scan to fussy cut out the image. I decided Bob needed to be on an action wobble for a bit of fun!
Here you can see the action wobble and some of the dimension I added to the card using foam squares!
I decorated the inside and added a sentiment from the "Sentiment Set #4" that matches my card theme perfectly!
Here's a short clip of Bob in action!

Go Bananas!

Hello To Everyone!
For my post today, I'd like you to meet "Large Monkey Mike" from High Hopes Stamps! Isn't he just a sweetie?!! When I saw Mike I knew I wanted to have him swinging from the trees.
I used my new MFT Interactive Swing die to make "Large Monkey Mike" appear to be swinging in the palm trees. You need to cover up the swing element and allow room for it to "swing". I decided to cut some palm leaves in two sizes using my Cameo and a svg file. Then I took a piece of the same colour as the leaves and glued them on top to hide it. This way I had a piece I could mount with foam tape to hide and allow the swinging action. I created the background using some water-colour paper and Ken Oliver Colour Burst powders. I inked all the edges of the card and palm leaves with some Vintage Photo ink for added dimension. I used the HH "Swinging Birthday" sentiment and masked it off to only use the top half of the sentiment.
On the inside I used more of the Ken Oliver Powders and a straw to make it match the outside colours. I love the fun HH sentiment called "Go Bananas" that I used on the inside. I also fussy cut out a banana from it to add to Mike's hand on the outside.
Here's a short clip of "Large Monkey Mike" in his swinging action!
Copics Used:
Monkey: E50, E51, E53, E55, E57, E59
Banana: Y32, Y35, YG93, YG95

Thanks for "swinging by" today!

Digi Doodle Studios June Challenge!

Hello Everyone!
Today marks the start of a new Challenge over on the Digi Doodle Studios Challenge Blog for June. You have all month to create something with the theme of "Special Day". Think Father's Day, birthday, wedding, anniversaries. Today I am using the DDS digital stamp called "Valentino"  to celebrate Father's Day.
I started by sizing and then printing my digital image with my printer. Then using my Copic Markers coloured "Valentino" in to match my papers. I hand drew in some plaid lines for a fun look to his top. The designer papers are also from Digi Doodles and are called "Coffee Break". I made the sentiment up myself on my computer and printed it. I thought it went well with the image. My card layout was created using an older MFT Blueprints 1 die set. I don't think it's available anymore but sure helps make your layout come together fast. I decided to ink all the edges of my papers with some Vintage Photo Distress Ink. I think it helps make everything pop a bit more.
On the inside of my card, I used some of the leftover "Coffee Break" papers to decorate it and added a sentiment from the DDS "Encouragement" digital sentiments collection.

Here is the original Valentino digital image from Digi Doodle Studios. I have to admit a "boo boo" I made LOL. I wasn't paying attention when I cut the image out with My Brother Cut N Scan, and made a mess of the hearts. I had already coloured my image and didn't want to waste it, so I left the hearts off. Valentino is much cuter with the heart song notes coming from the birds. Lesson learned lol!
Copics Used:

Happy Thoughts!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
I remember when my kids were young, May brought the opening of the Ice cream store in the small town we lived in. It was a big deal and everyone would walk down to the store after supper with their kids and dogs for the first ice cream cone of the season. This adorable stamp called "Ice Cream For Two" from High Hopes Stamps just reminds me of those special family times.
I coloured my image with my Copic Markers and fussy cut it out using my Brother Cut N Scan machine. I used a SVG file from the Silhouette Store to create my Ice Cream card base. Of course I had to cut it out of papers that match my 2 favourite flavours, Chocolate and Mint Chip. I inked all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for added dimension.
The "Happy Thoughts" sentiment is perfect for the way this memory makes me feel.

Sending Smiles!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
It's my turn to share some creative fun over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! I decided to use this oldie but cutie called "Raggedy Ann-ouncement". I love that her "sign" comes blank and you can add whatever sentiment to it that you want. I added the HH "Sending Smiles"sentiment.
I used a fun bright colour palette on this card! It just makes me feel happy and that summer is around the corner. My Paper is from the American Crafts Sunny 6x6 collection (older one from my stash). I added a double heart border, a cute heart tag, heart die and ribbon with a butterfly brad added to it.
Here you can see the dimension I added by using foam squares.
My decorated inside using the HH Sentiment called "Thank You For Being A Friend"
Copics Used:

Just A Note!

Happy Saturday!
Today I am sharing a fun interactive card with you using the adorable Digi Doodle Studios "Swinging Hearts" digital stamp!
I printed the image with my Printer and then coloured her in with my favourite..... Copic Markers! After she was coloured I fussy cut her out. Using my new MFT "Interactive Swing" die set, I created the tree tops and the swinging mechanism. I added some cool purple clouds using the MFT Mini Cloud Stencil and some Wilted Violet Distress Oxide ink. A little grassy edge finished everything off.
The sentiments on the front and the inside are from the DDS "Encouragement" digital sentiment collection. A bit of the leftover paper cut with a border die finish the inside off nicely.

Skin: E00, E01, E11, R20,

Happy Tuesday HH & OCS Followers!
Today I'm showing you the adorable "Flower Bouquet" stamp from High Hopes using it two different ways for completely different looks. What a perfect stamp that you can use for so many occasions!
On this version, I coloured the image with my Copic Sketch Markers and added some Stickles to the flower centres for some added bling. I'm using paper from the Simple Stories "Spring Farmhouse" 6x8 collection. I die cut the word "thanks" 3x and glued them together for a bit of added dimension.

Copics Used:
R11, R20, R21, R22
Y23, Y26, N7
BG11, BG32, BG34
My other version using the "Flower Bouquet" has a few more steps to it. First I stamped a flower background (don't know the name of the stamp it's an older one from my stash) and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder. Then using the pink orange pearl colour, watercolored the background. I stamped the image onto black cardstock and heat embossed it with black embossing powder. Now all I had to do was watercolor it in using the Kuretake Gansai Tambi Pearl Colors set. I like the look of the pearl colors on the black base.
Here you can see the gold embossed and watercolored background a bit better. The "Thanks" sentiment for this card was cut out with some double sided foam tape and gold paper for the dimension effect. A few Rose gold Sequins finish it off.

Thanks for stopping by today!

Turtles!

Hello!
I'm just popping in really quick before we head off on vacation. I wanted to share these cute cards I made using the "Turtley Great" stamp set from Gerda Steiner Designs!
I made these adorable cards in a small size, 2.5 x 3.5". I figure they will make great little cards to give someone a fun pick me up. I coloured them with Copic markers and then fussy cut them out with my Brother Cut N Scan. I made the little scenes using a grassy edge die and designer papers.
I used the matching sentiments from the stamp set on the inside!

I am entering these cuties into the "Share your Designs Challenge- May 2019" over at Gerda Steiner Designs.

Flutter'in By!

Hi HH & OCS Fans!
I'm so happy you stopped by today! Meet the adorable "Lynne Angel" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! This little cutie just melts my heart! I just picture her fluttering through the sky chasing those pretty butterflies! I bet if you look real close you might even find her in your garden!
Since I pictured her fluttering about, I knew she had to have a cloud background. I started by stamping and colouring my image. Then I masked her off using some Post-it Tape and started to make the background. I used Distress inks and the MFT Mini Cloud Stencil. I decided she needed a fun colourful sky and used inks to match my Designer Paper from the Echo Park "I am Mom" 6x6 collection. I added some ribbon, a bow, enamel dots and glitter pen to her wings to finish everything off.
I used more Designer Paper and the High Hopes "Flutter'in By" sentiment on the inside.
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E21, E11, R20
Hair: E53, Y21, Y26
Outfit: R20, R1, R22, R24, R27, C00, C1

Love Letters!

Hello Digi Doodle Fans!
Today I am sharing this adorable card using the Digi Doodles "Love Letters" digital stamp! This sweetie is perfect for anyone you want to send a bit cheer to or to let them know how much you love them!
I printed the "Love Letters" digital stamp using my Printer and coloured it in using my Copic Markers. Then I cut her out with a Scallop Tag die and popped her up with some foam tape over my paper layers. I added some Crystal Stickles to all the tiny hearts for a bit of sparkle.
I'm not sure if you noticed but I made a "boo boo" LOL! I accidentally coloured the centre of her hair bow as if it were part of her hair. I never noticed until I took my pictures and by then it was too late LOL. So "shhhh" don't tell the boss (*wink*)
I love to decorate the inside of my cards for an extra bit of a surprise to the recipient. On the front of my card and on the inside I added sentiments from the DDS "Love n' Hugs" digital sentiment collection. Just love that font!
Copics Used:
Skin: E01, E11, E04, R20, RV17
Hair: YR24, YR27, E07, E08, E18
Outfit: R20, R21, R22, RV23/ R37, R59, R89
