Birthday Love!

Today is my turn to post on the Ai Blog. I decided to share with you a card I made using the Ai People 2014 "Birthday Love" set. I love this set and can't wait to get outside and maybe play some tennis myself! I think this image is versatile as it doesn't just have to be for a Birthday card!

For this card I used paper from the Echo Park "Splendid Sunshine" Collection. The layout is pretty simple with just 2 rectangles, layered and slanted behind the main image. I added a border underneath the rectangles from coordinating paper. This time for this image I decided to paper piece her outfit and visor. I love how paper piecing ties everything together especially if you use matching paper that you used on your card! A bow, some enamel dots and of course my favourite....Wink of Stella and my card is complete!

 I used some of the leftover paper on the inside. The sentiment comes with the set and it's perfect for this image! You could always just stamp the "serving up some" part of the sentiment and add another stamp such as "thanks". That's how versatile this can be! Let your mind soar with possibilities LOL.

Here is another smaller card using the same set. I usually always colour 2 images when I am making a card. One, in case I make a mistake and two, if no mistake then I can build up my stash.

Girlfriend Launch!

Hello Ai Fans!

Today is the launch of the brand new Girlfriends 2015! I love this line from Ai and the new Girlfriends 2015 don't disappoint! I am using the Bench Set (#4546). In the set you get the main image and 3 sentiment stamps! How awesome is that!!!

  

When I saw this image I knew I had to make it into a Christmas card! So now I have another card done for Christmas I can cross off my list! Yippee!

I used the sentiment "Bright With Joy" (#4078) for the inside of my card.

Julie's Dream

Howdy! 

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using the brand new "Julie's Dream" stamp from 

High Hopes Stamps that was just released May1st! Isn't this little fairy just the cutest thing ever?! I know just the special little girl that will get this for her birthday!

I chose paper from the Simple Stories Enchanted Collection. It is the perfect paper for a little girl or these fairies! Since my "special someone" loves pinks and purple's, those were the colours I went with for this card! The design is a fairly simple one using a stitched rectangle die. Embellishments are some flower sequins with a die cut border and two corners. Of course I had to add glitter to the wings, and all of the hearts.

The inside reflects some of the outside details. The sentiment is from the new "Sentiment Set #2" (U501) and goes perfectly with the fairy themed stamp release.
