Red, White and Blue Challenge!

Hi everyone!
Here's my card for the red, white and blue Challenge over at Art Impressions. This is the second week of the Challenge. When I heard about this Challenge I immediately thought of the Girlfriends 2015 Quilt set. I could just see the quilt done in those colors!

I chose papers from Tailored Expressions called Summer Nights. This collection is all in red, white and blue...very patriotic! I layered the patterned papers with red and blue, added a white ribbon with a heart slider for fun! The Quilt set comes with 3 sentiments and I used one on the front of the card and one inside.

I used the Perfect Layers Mini from Perfect Paper Crafts to layer my sentiment with red and blue. I always like to use up my scraps from when I am cutting my pattern paper, so I die cut little flags and added them to the inside.

All my layers are glued onto a pre-made 5.5" square card. I used foam squares to pop up the image and sentiment to add dimension to my card.

Bob Loves His Motorcycle!

Hi everyone!
Today I am sharing with you the new High Hopes Stamp image called Bob Loves His Motorcycle. This image reminds me of my Husband who also loves his motorcycle, his Hog, his Harley LOL. I coloured Bob to match what my hubby wears and the colour of his bike.

I am using papers from the Echo Park Jack and Jill 6x6 Collection. I cut around my image with MFT Stitched Rectangle die-namics. A bit of twine with a bow and some bottle cap inspired letters were my embellishments this time. I also used silver Wink of Stella on all the silver motorcycle parts, as well as a black Gel pen on the handles and his boots. I added glossy accents to Bob's glasses and the motor cycle lights.

Here's the side view where you can see that I popped my stamped image up with Foam squares, and you can see that the bottle caps are raised as well.

Once again I used the MFT Stitched rectangles and a MFT small monarch border die to add some interest to the inside of the card. The sentiment is from the High Hopes Sentiment set #4.

Happy Saturday All!

I can't believe another Saturday has rolled around! Here is my card for One Crazy Stamper. Don't you just love Stamping Bella's Senior-Ita Wanda?! It doesn't get any cuter than Wanda sending you a big sloppy kiss! MWAHHHHH!

I always colour 2 images when I am making a card. It helps to build up your stash and in case you make a huge mistake you have a back up as well.  I decided to use the design paper from Echo Park's We Are Family. Echo Park is one of my favourite companies for paper! I always pick my paper first and then colour to coordinate with the paper. It just works the best for me! I used dies from Spellbinders (Lacey Circles) and Pretty Pink Posh (Stitched Borders 3). A bit of ribbon, some enamel dots and cabochon flowers were my embellishments of choice for these cards. I added Crystal Stickles to the flower enters and on Wanda's lips.

This stamp comes with 2 sentiments. I used both on these cards. Of course I always use some of the scraps from when I trimmed my paper to add on the inside of my cards.
