Spring Birds In Summer!

Hello & Happy Saturday!

First off..... Happy 4th of July to all my American friends! Today is my day over at One Crazy Stamper to post so I am sharing with you a adorable card I made using the Your Next Stamp stamp set called Spring Birds. I am in love with this super cute stamp set and the best thing is that they have a matching Spring Birds Die set! I love matching die sets as it really helps make your cut outs look professional!
I decided to challenge myself and not use any design patterned papers! So instead I got out my "Elegant Boquet" embossing folder and Cuttlebug and embossed it onto some blue cardstock. Then I stamped, coloured and cut out my images with the die set. The branches are glued directly onto the paper but all the birds and the cage are popped up with dimensional squares. I stamped the Tweet, Tweet and musical notes onto the front. I added some enamel dots, some Frosted Lace Stickles and voilá the card is complete!
The inside of the card uses more of the birds and the sentiments from the stamp set.
Copics Used:
Birds: R21, R22, R24
Yellow: Y15, Y19
Branches: E31, E35
Leaves: YG41, YG45
Cage: R22, R24, B000, Gold Wink of Stella

Since July is here, OCS is back with a new challenge "Anything Goes".  You can use any stamp except for digital images.  You have all month to join in the fun for a chance to win 2 High Hopes Rubber Stamps from One Crazy Stamper just for playing in our Blog Challenge.

I hope you'll play along over at One Crazy Stamper! Have a great weekend!

New Friends!

Old and Senile??
I love the new Stamps sets that Ai has at Hobby Lobby! Today I am sharing with you card I made using the Dare To Be Fabulous set.
I love the sentiment I used from the set...."We'll be friends until we're old and senile then we'll be new friends"! That just cracks me up and is likely more true than not LOL.

I used a concave corner punch on the edges of my image and the layering underneath. I chose papers from the Kaiserkraft Shine Bright 6x6 collection. The little "hello" is cut out of one of the papers in the collection. I decided to paper piece the ladies outfits and hat. Of course I used Wink of Stella on all the yellow coloured parts, as well as the grey scarf.

I decided to leave the inside blank for now until I decide what occasion I will be using it for. The bracket border is also from the paper collection.

Copics used:
Skin: E50, E51, E21, R20, R22 (lips)
Hair: C1, C3, C5, C7, E13, E15, E18
Yellow parts: Y15, Y19
Grey parts: C1, C3, C5, C7
Bench: E43, E44, E47
Ground: C0
Outline: B0000

Don't forget Art Impressions has a new Challenge that just started called "Create With Christmas". You must make a project using a christmas stamp for a non Christmas card. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

Happy Stamping!

Bedelia Butterfly

Happy Canada Day!
July is here and One Crazy Stamper is back with a new Challenge month! The theme this month is "Anything Goes", you can use anything you want except a digital image. For this Challenge post card, I am using the High Hopes Stamp called Bedelia Butterfly.

I kept this design simple and "flat" (no foam squares) for easy mailing. The only embellishment really is the bow and a bit of clear glitter Wink of Stella on Bedelia's wings and the flower petals.

I used the same MFT Stitched Traditional Tags on the inside of my card. The sentiment "Flutter'in By" is also from High Hopes!

Copics Used:
Head & arms: E00, E02, R20
Wings: RV00, RV02, RV13, RV14, RV25, RV29
Flower: RV13, RV14, RV25, RV29, Y21, Y26, YG61, YG63, YG67
Dress: YG61, YG63, YG67, RV26

Here's another version of this image I did using paper from the same collection.

Until next time..... Happy Crafting!
