Youth.....

Hi Ai Fans!

Every time I see this stamp called "Jean", it reminds me of my Grandma. In the Retirement home that she lived the ladies used to decorate their walkers depending on the season or holiday. They would all park their walkers to go into the dining room and then you could view all the different decorated masterpieces! It was a fun way to accept the fact that you needed a walker.

I coloured up Jean 2 different ways and used 2 different colour themes from the Simple Stories Vintage Bliss 6x6 collection.

I think the "Been There" sentiment goes perfectly with this funny stamp!

New Ai Sets at Michaels!

Hi Ai Fans!

It's the 2nd week of the "White Space Is Nice Space CAS" Challenge over at Art Impressions! Michaels and Hampton Arts are launching 2 new sets of clear Ai Sets. My card today features the "Road Trip" set!

The Road Trip set comes with the main Girlfriend image, traffic light and sign, 1 sentiment and 5 tiny sentiments you can put on the arrow sign. I decided to add some fun to this card and paper pieced the car in a fun polka dot pattern!

I used part of a Provincial Road map to add to the top of my card! (Shhhh.....don't tell hubby lol). I layered it on top of some blue cardstock and added some twine across the top. I inked all the edges of my papers with the new Distress Oxide inks in Faded Jeans.

Because I coloured directly into my card base my Copic markers bled through! No worries I just added some more of that map to cover it up!

Inside I used the sentiment that comes with the set.

Bethany Angel

Happy June 1st HH Fans!

Wow where did May go? I can't believe June is here and it's time for another Challenge over on the High Hopes Blog! The theme this month is "Anything Goes"! I decided to use this super cute image called "Bethany Angel" My hubby will be heading off to a conference soon and I always tuck little notes into his suitcase to let him know that I am missing him! Bethany will be going along on his travels LOL!

My card came together quite fast as I used a MFT Blueprint 1 die set and paper from the Simple Stories Love & Adore 6x6 collection. Of course her wings had to have some bling and Diamond Stickles were my go to!
