Mummy!

It's Tuesday and the means you can find me over on the High Hopes Blog! I'm playing along with the September Challenge "Fall & Halloween" using the "Mummy" stamp!

I used some black cardstock to make a card base for my card today. I decided to go with papers from the Pebbles Boo 6x6 collection. After colouring my image, I fussy cut it out using my Silhouette machine. The little circle embellishments are cut from some of the papers as well!

Here's the inside of my card using the "Frightfully Delightful" High Hopes sentiment.

Autumn Delight Girl!

Hi CDD Friends!

I'm back with another post inspired by the Craftin Desert Divas September Mood Board Challenge.

My inspiration for my card came from the apples and the teal colours. 

I decided to do something totally different with the CDD "Autumn Delight Girl" digital stamp. Since digital stamps allow you to re size them to whatever you'd like, I decided to make her large and into a "stand alone" card. I used my Brother Cut N Scan to cut around my image and to cut out 2 extra blank outline pieces. The finished size is approximately 7x5.5. After I coloured her with my Copic Markers I added one of the extra white outlines to the back of her to cover up any ink that had bled through. Then I glued just the very top of the image to the remaining blank outline. This allowed me to score the top so that the card would be a top opening card. 

I thought this card would be perfect for my Granddaughter who is 9 months. The large size allows little hands to explore it!

I also cut out an extra set of hair bows and popped them up for some dimension.

I used the "Happy Birthday" sentiment for the CDD "Simply Said" stamp set on the inside.

Teacher's Rule!

Hi Ai Fans!

This week the DT is doing a swap with Marvy and boy 'o boy did I have fun trying out some new products!! Where I live the kids all went back to school this week! I thought it was the perfect time to use the Teacher's Rule set and create a fun tag that could be used for a teacher gift!

I have to admit that Tags always throw me for a loop. I think it's the longer area to cover and I struggle with the layout. I'm a 5.5" square kind of girl LOL! But I'm happy with how this ended up turning out!

I thought the Doodlebug "Back To School" 6x6 collection was perfect for this Teachers Tag. I also used the red Marvy Deco Just Glitter Premium pen on the red coloured things. That's the first time I've used them and they really flow nicely. I found this chalkboard tag and made it into a school chalkboard themed piece using the Marvy Bistro Chalk markers.

This is the first time I used The Marvy Le Plume Alcohol markers for colouring skin! They blended very nicely!
