Hello!
I feel very fortunate that Simon Says Stamp asked me to be a guest Designer on their blog today! That email was such a surprise and I am thrilled to be sharing my card with their followers and you today. Valentine's Day is right around the corner and love is in the air. Art Impressions Stamps has come out with a new product called "spinners"! Once I got my hands on this stamp I knew I had to make an easel card to showcase the "spinning".
This is how the card looks when folded flat. The idea is to wind the image a few times before you put it an envelope so when you open it up the image spins.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E11, R20, RV17
Earrings: R85, R89
Hair: Lady- E43, E44, E47
Man- C1, C3, C5
Shirt: Lady- R81, R83, R85
Man- R24, R27, R29 & sock
Pants: Lady- C1, C3, C5
Man: W3, W5, W7
Shoes: Lady- R85, W3, W5
Man- E43, E44, E47
The "Love Spinner" set comes with a sentiment and the front and back views of the image. Once you colour the image, fussy cut it out. I made an easel card that when folded flat is 6"x6". The layered heart border is raised a bit with tiny foam squares and helps to keep the easel propped up when open.
After I decorated the front and inside of my card I used my dies and cut out a frame in the middle of the card front.
I then made a "frame" from 2 sizes of Spellbinder Labels 28 dies and ran it through my Big Shot machine.
I took a piece of white thread and laid it down the centre of my image, and glued the front and back images together while pulling the string tight. Now do the same thing to glue the frame and image on the string together.
Now you are all set to attach it to the card and embellish. Before I stamped my sentiments and die cut them, I stamped a background using Memento Angel Pink ink and the Kaiserkraft texture stamp called Cherish! I love these new Art Impressions Spinners sets. They super cute and versatile. I had so much fun creating this card to share with you all here at Simon Says Stamp!
Here's a quick video showing the card in action!
