Hi High Hope fans!
Today I'm sharing with you "Frankie" the cute but not so scary Frankenstein! Frankie is adorable just like all the other new releases in the "Joys of the Season" collection!
This time for my card I kind of went "out of my box"and I decided to try to make my own background rather than use designer papers. I've had some Faber Castel Gelato's for some time now and have hardly used them, so I decided it was time to get them out and play with them! I took a piece of water colour paper and using my craft mat I added a splash of Cherry, Tangerine, and Lemon Gelato to it. Then I spritzed the mat with some water and sort of mixed it around with my finger. I set the paper on top of the "mixture" and sort of sopped up the colours. The using my heat gun, I dried the paper to set the colours. Using a paint brush and some Tim Holtz Distress spray in Espresso I added some paint splashes to the background. I love how it turned out! I added some background die cuts I made with my Silhouette and popped up Frankie on top of them. The sentiment is called "Frightfully Delightful" and is also from the new release.
I coloured "Frankie" with my Copics and added some clear Wink of Stella to his top and pumpkin. The bolts in his neck are done with silver Wink of Stella.
Copics Used:
