New Fun Technique!

Hello!
Oh my gosh!!! I had so much fun trying this new background technique I learned watching Jennifer McGuire's video! It's crazy easy and fun at the same time!
Here's the easy steps to create this background technique!

  1. Spread ink on your paper (I used Distress Oxide) either with a blender or directly ink to paper
  2. Pick a stencil you like
  3. Use your die cutting machine and an embossing mat (check plate "sandwich" layer instructions for embossing with your machine)
  4. Lay your ink paper down, put the stencil on top, next a bay wipe
  5. Run slowly through your machine
  6. Remove plate sandwich and view your background
  7. Let it dry completely
See I told you it was super easy and so fun when you take the layers apart and see the finished result. Just imagine all the possibilities!

On this example I used Mermaid Lagoon Distress Oxide ink and a Peacock Feather Stencilby Kite. I think this one is my favourite (and not just because I love Peacocks LOL)! Then I just added some enamel dots and a white die cut "Smile".
This card uses The Crafter's Workshop "Mini Ring Doily" and Seedless Preserves Distress Oxide Ink. I added purple sequins and a "hello" die cut from Spellbinders.
I used the Mini Wildflowers Stencil from The Crafters Workshop for a different look. This example uses an ink blended background of Distress Oxide inks in Abandoned Coral, Fossilized Amber and Spiced Marmalade. I stamped the "You Are" and "a good friend" with embossing ink and heat set it in Black Embossing Powder. Some clear gems finish off my card.

Thanks for stopping by today! I really hope you will try this technique. I had so much fun trying this and I know you will too!

Happy Stamping!
