Shadow Box card!

It's Tuesday again so that means it's my turn to post some inspiration for you! Today's card is called a "Shadow Box" card and it was easy and so fun to make! I followed along with Jennifer McGuire's Video and in no time I had this adorable card made! On the front of my card I am using the High Hopes "Teacup Pup".

Of course I had to use papers from the Doodlebug "Puppy Love" 6x6 collection! I mean it was a no brainer as they match my dog theme perfectly! I added a bit of Stickles to the dog bone for a fun element. The sentiment is also from HH and is called "Smiling". A nice brown bow finishes everything off.

Here you can see when you open up the card, a shadow box pops up on the inside. I created a cute little scene on the inside using High Hope's "Prancing Pup", "Puppy Pals" and the "Blossom Tree Branch". I added some inked clouds, Stitched Vally, Grassy Edge and a fence to help create my little scene. Of course the inside had to have sparkle too, so I added Stickles to the flower centres.

I love that the shadow box lays flat for mailing! I added some cute HH  paw prints using the "Cat and Dog Paws" stamp across my envelope flap.

I don't know about you but I'm done with winter!! Enough already Mother Nature LOL. I decided that for Today's Inspirational post for Digi Doodle Studios I would make a Spring themed card to cheer myself up and hopefully you as well! When I saw this adorable digital stamp called "Little Elijah", I knew he would be up for the task! Spring is all about flowers, sunny skies and baby animals and "Little Elijah" makes me feel happy!

I decided to use papers from an older Doodlebug collection called "Easter Express", I die cut a "window" out of the paper and then hand stitched a border using some twine and a craft needle. I popped the flower paper up with foam tape and then inlayed my image for a dimensional look. Some enamel dots and a paper bow felt like the perfect embellishments. You can't tell in this picture but the blue sky has Clear Glitter Pen added to it for a bit of sparkle and shine.

On the inside I used more of the matching papers and a sentiment from the Digi Doodles "Friendship" collection.

Inside Spinner Card!

Today I am sharing with you my first "Inside Spinner" card inspired by Jennifer McGuire. When I saw her video I knew I wanted to try one of this cute interactive cards. I decide to make a Get Well Card and use the adorable "Valerie Nurse Angel" from High Hopes Stamps.

I decided to use papers from the Echo Park "Have Faith" 6x6 collection. I coloured my image with my Copic Markers and then fussy cut it out using my Brother Cut N Scan. I popped both the die cut and my image up with foam tape for extra dimension to my layers. I added Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter Pen to the red cross, bandaids and her wings for a touch of sparkle.

On the inside is the surprise spinning element. I used the HH "Bandaid" to create the spinner with. All you have to do is wind it up before you close it and then when the recipient opens the card the bandaid spins and hopefully brings a smile to their face to cheer them up. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Better Quickly".

Happy As Two Pigs In Mud!

Howdy HH & OCS Fans!

There's nothing cuter than these two pigs having fun in the mud! This stamp is called "Happy Pigs" and is from High Hopes Stamps!

To start, I stamped and coloured my image with my Copic Markers. After I die cut a circle around the  image, I masked them off with masking paper. Then I added some clouds and grass to the image using the MFT Mini Clouds, Grassy Edges stencils and inks to create an outdoor scene. I love the "Barn Yard" paper from Bella Blvd. It's my go to "Farm" paper. A few enamel dots and the HH "Hogs and Kisses" sentiment finish off my card.

I always like to use scraps of the designer paper on the inside of my card for a finished feel. I added the HH sentiment called "Happy As 2 Pigs" which of course matches the card theme.

Hello DDS Fans!

This digital stamp from Digi Doodle Studios called "My Girl"! Aren't they just the cutest couple?!!

"My Girl" reminds me so much of my Nephew and his girlfriend ! They are adorable together! I made this card with them in mind and hope that my Nephew will want to give this to Clara at some point.

On Today's card I am using digital paper from Digi Doodles "Love & Friendship" Digital Background paper collection. I added some YNS gumdrops and a cute tiny bow for some fun elements. I also added Spectrum Noir Clear Glitter pen to the flowers, hearts and her socks (hard to tell in photo). The sentiment is also from DDS's "Love n' Hugs" digital sentiment collection.

I've added lots of layers and popped some elements up with foam tape for added dimension

Hannah's Heart!

Happy Tuesday HH & OCS Fans!

Today I am sharing with you a card I made using "Hannah's Heart" from High Hopes Stamps! Hannah is one of the first stamps I had from HH and I haven't used her in a long time. I forgot just how adorable she is and had to ink her up once again!

I decided to use papers from the MME "Happy Days" 6x6 collection. I just love the colour combinations in this pack! I made this card for any "love" occasion. The sentiment "Just Because" is also from High Hopes.

After stamping Hannah, I coloured her with my Copic markers to match the designer paper. I added some Crystal Stickles to the tiny hearts on her dress, her flower in her hat and the butterfly. Some matching ribbon, bow and adhesive sequins finish off my design.

Using leftovers from the designer paper I decorated the inside of my card and added the HH "A Hundred Hearts" sentiment.

Valentine's Day is a two days away so I thought it was the perfect time to get this cutie out of hiding LOL! Meet "Ladybug Love" from High Hopes Stamps! She is just so stinking cute!

I created my own background using distress Oxide Inks in Candied Apple, Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick on some Tim Holtz Distress Woodgrain paper. I added some ink splatters using Ebony Black Nuvo Drops, water and a paintbrush. I also used the Ebony Black Drops on her antenna. The "You Are Loved" sentiment on the front is also from High Hopes. A few die cut heart circles and enamel dots help to finish off my card.

On the inside I used the HH "Hugs & Hugs" Sentiment

It's New Release Day!

It's an exciting day over at Digi Doodle Studios..... It's Release Day!!! The fabulous Dina has done it again with her new "Love and Friendship" digital stamps. This sweet digital stamp is called "Cheers" and I love that the dog is included. Nothing better than a little love and cheers between Besties!!

I chose papers from the Penny Black "Summer time" 6x6 collection. I decided to give the new fad of "peek-a-boo wheels" a try on this card. It was a bit hard to find some small words to fit the speech bubbles. I pulled out my SSS "Thoughtful Messages" set and it worked perfectly. You can't tell in the photos but I added Spectrum Noir Glitter pen to all the hair bows, and wine. A nice matching bow and tiny metal flower finishes everything off.

As you turn the wheel a different sentiment pops into view.

Valentine's Day is around the corner so I thought it was the perfect time to create a card using the High Hopes "Betsy Loves Barney" Stamp! Pigs are some of the cutest images but 2 pigs in love..... just doesn't get sweeter than that!

I decided to mask off each pig and stamp them separately to create my little windows and then stamp the whole image. I imagine them flirting with each other and then coming together for that first kiss. My papers today are from the American Crafts "Loves Me Not" 6x6 collection. I made little circle frames from my Ai Double Stitched circle dies. It's hard to see but the "Xo" paper is popped up with foam tape so that the images are sunken down inside the frame. I took the HH "Hogs and Kisses" sentiment and cut it apart so that it could fit inside my Stitched Heart die cut. A double loop bow, heart gem and some Doodlebug Tiny Heart Sprinkles finish everything off!

My decorated inside along with the HH "Always and Forever" sentiment.
