Take Time!

What a cutie!! Meet "Tink Picking Posies" from High Hopes Stamps! I just want to squeeze those cheeks! But I know from experience that the smell would be too much. My poor dog Stella has been sprayed twice in the last few months, so I know skunks aren't as cute as they look LOL!
I stamped my image on some Copic friendly paper and then cut it out with a wonky stitched die. My papers are from the Doodlebug Love Notes 6x6 collection and I added some enamel dots for a bit of interest. I love this HH sentiment called "Smell the Flowers", it matches perfectly with this image!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Hello!
Today's post for High Hopes Stamps features the adorable "Leapin' Leprechaun"! You can't help but smile when you see this cutie! I looked up the history of the Leprechaun, and in old Irish folklore he was a trickster figure who couldn't be trusted and likes to deceive. I find it hard to think that this cutie could do any of those things LOL!
I am using some papers from the Echo Park Lucky & Charms 12 x 12 collection. I coloured "Leapin' Leprechaun" with my Copic markers and then cut him out with my Brother Cut N Scan. The stitched Tag die was perfect to pop him up on with some foam tape. I am using the HH "St Patrick's Script" for my sentiment today. Some enamel dots and ribbon finish off my card.
I decorated the inside with some die cuts from the paper collection for a fun look.

Toucan Twosome!

Hello Friends!!
This month over on the High Hopes Blog the Design Team have been inspiring you with cards using a "Love Theme". Today I am using the adorable pair from High Hopes called "Toucan Twosome". I've seen some these birds on some of my travels and they are just incredibly beautiful!
"Toucan Twosome" makes the perfect Valentine Day card when paired with the HH Sentiment called "Love Nest Valentines". I decided not to go with non traditional Valentine themed papers. I've had this Designer Paper from Bo Bunny called "Beach Therapy" for a bit now and thought it perfect to pair with these sweeties! I inked all the edges of my paper layers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add a bit of dimension. All the layers are glued flat but the "Toucan Twosome" stamp is popped up using foam tape. My card base today is a 5x5" square.

Be My Valentine!

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and this adorable image called "Peeking Kitty With Heart" from High Hopes Stamps makes a perfect card for that special someone! I love Kitty's smile and the way the heart is dangling!
This card is on the larger size, with the scallop circle base being about 6" round. I created this base using my Silhouette Machine and a svg file. On top of the base I added a doily and then created a rosette from a long strip of paper (approx 18" x 2") . I scored the paper every 1/4" and then folded it using the "mountain/ valley" technique. Once it was all folded, I glued the strips together to create a circle. Then you sort of push the circle down into the middle and a rosette forms. I glued it to a small circle die cut and then using foam tape for dimension added it to the doily layer. Next came the 2 circles with a strip of ribbon added. I coloured and fussy cut my image out and added it to the ribbon so it looks like kitty is handing on to it. A double bow, heart gem and some Stickles finish everything off.
I popped up the sentiment called "My Valentine" with foam tape and added it to a smaller rosette.
In these 2 photos you can see the dimension to this card. Definitely a card you hand deliver LOL.

Love Letter!

Happy Tuesday!
Valentine's Day is fast approaching and this month over on the High Hopes Blog, we are sharing "Love" themed cards. My card today uses the adorable "Love Letter Monkey". This adorable image doesn't have to be just for Valentine's Day, you could use it for an anniversary or thinking of you card as well.
I started my card by stamping, colouring and cutting out "Love Letter Monkey using my Brother Cut N Scan. Then using some cute heart paper from my stash and the Sunny Studios Sunny Snippets Sliding Window Die, I created this adorable slider card. Some extra matching heart die cuts and some glitter pen on the heart in the Monkey's hand finish everything off.
Here you can see when you pull the heart tab up, the slider starts to reveal the window underneath.
I stamped the High Hopes sentiment called "Lg. Filled With Love" on the inside.
I love how the card is interactive and the image sits up but still lays flat for mailing!

United In Love!

Hello!!
This month over on the High Hopes Blog it's all about Love! Of course I had to use the adorable High Hopes stamp called "Elle & Elmer"! I mean look how thoughtful and loving Elmer is keeping Elle out of the rain! I'm lucky like Elle, I have a Hubby that is very thoughtful and always a gentleman!
I am using papers from the Tailored Expressions "Playful Patterns- Valentine" 6x6 collection. I tried to colour "Elle & Elmer" to match the papers with my Copic Sketch Markers. I coloured the image and then cut it out using a Gina Marie "Frilly Lace Square" die. I decided to mask off the image and added some clouds in the sky with some baby blue ink and cloud stencil, to create more of a scene. Some enamel dots finish off my design.
I used the High Hopes sentiment called "United In Love" to go along with my love themed card.
Copics Used:

Umbrella: BG13, BG32, BG34/ R22, R24, R27/ N8

Just A Note!

Hi!
Just popping in today to share another cute set of cards made using the "Just A Note" set from Your Next Stamp. These bunnies are so sweet they just make me happy! I coloured each one using different techniques.
Although I coloured each Bunny different, I kept them consistent by using matching papers from the Simple Stories "Heart" 6x8 collection. I added Clear Glitter Wink of Stella to each pencil and some enamel dots on each card.
I decided to colour this bunny using a "stippling" effect. I took my Copic Markers and just added little dots in shades of grey.
This little cutie is coloured using Copic Markers in the traditional way by blending the alcohol inks.
For this card I started by first colouring the bunny part of the image. Then I took some Copic Blending solution and a terry washcloth and dabbed it over the image to give it a furry look.
Copics Used:
White Bunny: C0, C1, C2, C3, C5, R01, R02
Grey Bunny: N1, N3, N4, N5, N6, R01, R02
Brown Bunny: E23, E25, E27, R01, R02
Pencil: YR21, YR23, YR24/ E30

Coffee with Friends!

Hello Friends!
I wanted to add some cards to my stash that I could send out to my friends to let them know I am thinking about them. It's always great to get unexpected mail! I know it sure puts a smile on my face and I want to return the favour! I am using the "Friends at First Sip" stamp set from My favourite Things (MFT).
I stamped and coloured my images and then using the matching "Friends at First Sip" Die set created these two cards. I am using paper from the Echo Park "Coffee" 6x6 collection.
For this card I created this card using a "window frame" and put my outdoor scene inside. I used light blue ink and the MFT Cloud Stencil to create the cloud background and then some grassy dies I had on hand. I gave each girl some polka dots with a white gel pen for a fun look.
I always love decorating the inside of my cards. For one, it uses up scraps of the papers I used on the front of my card and two it makes the whole card design feel finished.
This card is a simple layer of dies from the CDD Fancy Frames die set. The girls are popped up with foam tape for added dimension.
Of course I had to finish the inside of this card as well and add a different sentiment from the set.

See all the fun you can have with this set and so many choices.

Snowman Hugs!

Hello!
Thanks for stopping in today to see this cutie called "Gimme A Hug Snowman" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Snowmen are one of my favourite Winter/ Christmas images and this one is on my favourite list! I used to love going out with my kids, rolling those balls of snow and creating different "snow people"! We always had a blast and I loved that no two snowman ever looked alike. It was fun finding different things to decorate the snowman with and hot chocolate always followed!
I started my card by stamping the image and colouring it with Copic Markers to match the Designer Paper I chose. Today's papers are from the Doodlebug "Christmas Magic" 6x6 collection. My card has lots of layers using the patterned paper and matching cardstock. I added a little icicle border cut out of silver glitter paper for a fun touch! The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Hugs & Hugs".

Polaroid Friends!

Hello!!!!
Oh My Gosh!!!! These "Squigdy's" are adorable! I mean come on, look at those cheeks! I just want to squeeze them all! This is the adorable "Squidgy Pals" set from Stamping Bella.
I had a crafty friend over the other weekend and She made a card with these YNS Stitched Polaroid Frame dies but with a different image. Boing.... a light went off in my head! Why not stamp these cuties inside the frames and create my card with them. I started with the larger frame, stamped 1 image, masked it off, stamped the next image, masked it off and then added the girl in the back. I admit it took me a few tries to get it right but when it did, boy did it turn out cute! And of course paper from the Doodlebug "Sunkissed" & "I Love Travel" 6x6 collections were just the fun and bright papers I needed for these cuties! Some twine and enamel dots finish everything off.
On the inside I used sentiments from the SSS "Thoughtful Messages" and "Tiny Words" stamp sets along with more of the Doodlebug papers.
