Fall!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!

Today I am sharing something that's totally out of my comfort zone! I tried my hand at watercoloring this beautiful image from High Hopes called "Farm Background" with a watercolour paper palette. I still need lots of practice but I have to admit it was fun!

 I started by stamping the image onto some watercolour paper and then using the palette, a brush and some water coloured it in. After it had time to dry I cut out the word "Fall" and added the letters back in with foam tape to create an "Eclipse" card. A bit of Designer Paper behind the image and some enamel dots finished it all off.

It was neat to try the Paper Palette's and I think you could easily make your own to take easily with you.

It's my turn to share some inspiration over at Digi Doodle Studios! Fall is one of my favourite times of the year. I just love all the beautiful colours of nature and the cooler but still warm temperatures! When I saw the "Patti's Pumpkin Patch" digital stamp I immediately fell in love with her! She's just adorable and reminded me of all the times I took my kids to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out their Halloween Pumpkins! We loved going and trying out the corn maze and then looking through all the different shapes and sizes of pumpkins!

Today I am using papers from the Doodlebug Happy Harvest 6x6 collection. The colours are so warm and vibrant in this collection! After printing out my digital image, I coloured Patti with my Copic Sketch markers, and then cut her out with a die. I added some Spectrum Noir Glitter pen to the pumpkins, polka dots to her dress and gloves and some Diamond Stickles to her hat. I used the digital sentiment from the DDS "Autumn Days Sentiment & Tags" collection.

Hi Ai Fans!

Thanksgiving is just around the corner here in Canada and I thought these adorable Pilgrim Mice would make the perfect card! This image is from the newly released "Grateful Hearts" set by Art Impressions.

I decided to use papers from an older Doodlebug collection called Fall Friends. I just loved that they had a paper with Pilgrims on it to match my card. I added Spectrum Noir Glitter pen to all the orange coloured areas.

I coloured my image with my Copic markers and fussy cut out my images using my Brother Cut N Scan. I added a cute scalloped border to the edges of my paper and used the new Oval Double Stitched die from Ai to cut out a background to mount my image to.

Fall is in the air and with that comes all the adorable Fall stamps, papers and warm colours! Today for my post I am using "Harvest Harry".  

My Design is very simple today with only one layer of designer paper and a bit of Burlap ribbon. I coloured my image with my Copic Sketch markers and then fussy cut it out with my Brother Cut N Scan. I popped the image up with some foam squares and added a few enamel dots for a bit of interest. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Sending Smiles".

Office Party Set!

Hello Ai Fans!
Happy Friday! Since it's Friday, that means it's my turn to share a card with you! Today I am using the Art Impressions "Office Party" set. 

I am using paper from an older MME collection that I had in my stash. I coloured my images with my Copic Sketch Markers to match the paper's colour theme. I added polka dots to each girl's outfits with a white gel pen for a fun element.

I stamped the "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the set onto the computer screen. I cut out my image using one of the New AI Dies. This one is called "Rounded Rectangle A2 Double Stitched Dies". Some twine, Crystal Stickles fand enamel dots finish off this card.

I love that sentiment it cracks me up!

I love all the sentiment options that come in the "Office Party"set! Great value for sure!

Wow I can't believe Fall is right around the corner and the kids have gone back to school this week! Where did the summer go? It's my turn today to share a card with you over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs. The Design Team is doing a "Anything Goes" theme and I decided to use the High Hopes "Harvest Mice" stamp!

"Harvest Mice" is one of my favourite Fall stamps! I just love these cuties and the pumpkin they are leaning on! I chose papers form the Echo Park "Fall Is In the Air" 6x6 collection. I love the warm colours of this line! I added some ribbon, bow and a die cut banner as the accents on my card this time.

I also decorated the inside of my card and used the High Hopes sentiment called "If Friends Were Pumpkins".

Monthly Challenge Time over at DDS!

Hi DDS Fans!

It's the start of the monthly Challenge over at Digi Doodle Studios! The theme this month is "Mythical/ Magical". Think fairies, unicorns and mermaids! I decided to use the adorable "Amatheia Mermaid".

My card base is a cut file from the Silhouette Design Store. I love the wave cutout and made me feel like "Amatheia" is under water. All the papers I am using are also from DDS and are part of the "Summer Breeze" Digital Paper collection. I made a few "Seaweeds" using a flower die set. I added some glossy accents to the bubble around "Amatheia", and Spectrum Noir Glitter pen on her tail. I thought it would be fun to add some Nuvo Glitter drops to the bubbles on the paper for more glitter!

I also decided to use digital sentiment from the "Mermaid" collection. I added a little starfish brad for a fun element.

I decided to add a bit of Nuvo Mousse and some white paint with a stencil brush to the waves. I wanted to give them a bit of shine and make them look like the different colours of the Ocean.

Teachers Rule!

Hello Ai Fans!

Here in Ontario the Kids go back to School on Tuesday, so I thought it was the perfect time to use the Art Impressions "Teachers Rule" set! That sentiment just cracks me up! I give tremendous credit to all Teachers for the amazing job they do and the patience they have!

I thought the school themed papers from the Doodlebug "Back To School" 6x6 collection were perfect for my card design! I fussy cut my image using my Brother Cut N Scan and then popped her up with foam tape. I stamped the sentiment onto the front of her desk.

As you can see the "Teachers Rule" set has so many fun sentiments and images to create so many different card designs! What a great value this set is!

Hello My Friends!

It's Tuesday so that means it's my turn to post over on the High Hopes and One Crazy Stamper Blogs! The theme this month is Fall/ Halloween, so I've chosen the oh so adorable "Witchy Poo with Kitty Frame" to make my card with.

I started by first making my background for my card base. I just got the YNS "Funky Line Panel Die" and thought it would be perfect for "Witchy Poo". I pulled out my stash of older Doodlebug Halloween paper and added strips for a fun background. Then I coloured my image to match my paper choices. A few spider webs complete with cute green spiders and a bow were my embellishments this time. I added Yellow Stickles to the moon and stars. The sentiment is also from HH and is called "Simple Halloween".

Crazy Cat Lady!

Hello Ai Fans!

I am more of a dog lover but I couldn't resist this stamp set from Art Impressions called "Crazy Cat Lady"! I mean seriously how funny and cute is this set?!!

The "Crazy Cat Lady" set comes with 2 images, 4 sentiments and a set of paw prints. Just think of all the cards you can make with just one set!

I think this one is my favourite! I added some strips and spots to 2 of the cats for a bit of fun. I love her slippers that I added Cotton Candy Stickles to!

The Doodlebug Kitten Smitten 6x6 collection was perfect for these Gals! A few polka dots and some enamel dots finish off both of my cards.
