Happy Fall!

Exciting day!
I am so excited to be Guest Designing over at  Krafty Chicks for the month of October. This is a Challenge Blog and the theme for this week is "Stamp Act" (use any of your stamps/ digi's). Since we've just moved into the Fall Season, I thought "Angel Bear Scarecrow" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps would be perfect for this Challenge!
I stamped my image onto some Copic friendly paper and coloured it in using my Copic Markers. Next using my Brother Cut N Scan, I cut out the image leaving a small white border around it. I love these fun, bright papers from the Sunny Studios "Colourful Autumn" 6x6 collection. Lots of layers on this design! I also inked all the paper edges with Vintage Photo Distress Ink for a bit of added dimension. Some twine, a bow and enamel dots finish off my card.

Happy Birthday!

Hello!
I am obsessed with Gnomes and this cutie is flying by with a Birthday Wish! Meet the adorable "Balloon Gnome" from High Hopes Stamps! This cutie is one of four new Gnomes that are in the New Summer 2020 Release.
I love this cloud paper from the Honey Bee "Spring Lullaby" 6x6 collection. It made my background quick and easy. I didn't have to ink blend clouds...yippeee! The idea for the design was to try to make it look like "Balloon Gnome" was floating up from the bottom and off the page. Not sure if I nailed it or not, but he's adorable either way! The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Dot Simple Happy Birthday". I cut it in 2 for a different take on the sentiment. A bit of glitter pen to the balloons added a fun element.
Copics Used:

Happy Fall!

Hi!
Today's card features the adorable digital image called "Rabbit Among Pumpkins" by Kinda Cute by Patricia Alvarez. I just love this little cutie popping up behind the pumpkins!
I think Fall Papers are my favourite! I love the rich warm colours and these papers from my "scrap pile" are the perfect Fall shades! I downloaded, sized and printed my image onto Copic friendly paper and then coloured the image using my Copic markers, to match the papers. I inked all the edges of my papers and image using some Distress Ink in Vintage Photo and a foam tool. I always love a bit of glitter so I added some glitter pen to the leaves. A bit of burlap ribbon and a pumpkin embellished finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Pumpkins: YR04, YR07, YR09, YR18/ YG95, YG97, YG99
Rabbit: E31, E33, E35, R01, R22

Brewin' Up Some Treats!

Happy Tuesday!
Oh  my gosh..... how cute is this image!!! Meet "Witchy Poo Stirrin Brew" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps. Isn't she adorable sitting there stirring her brew!
I decided to make a shaped card today using a pumpkin svg file and my Silhouette Cameo electric die cutting machine! I inked all the edges of the card base pieces with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. To add a bit more dimension, I cut the inner 2 pumpkin pieces, stem and leaf a second time and glued them together. This way when I glued them to the base they stood up a bit higher. I love the sentiment from High Hopes called "Brewin' Treats", it goes perfectly with Witchy Poo!  A bit of twine, bow and MFT Tiny Bats finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Skin: E00, E21, E11, R20

Happy Fall!

Greetings!
I'm  loving all the digital stamps over at Kinda Cute By Patricia Alveraz! This is my first "Fall" themed card for 2020 and I knew that "Girl With Wheelbarrow" was an adorable stamp to kick it off with!
After downloading, sizing and printing the image, I coloured it in my favourite medium....Copic Markers. I decided to use papers from the Echo Park "My Favourite Fall" 6x6 collection and coloured this cutie to match! I cut out the image using my Brother Cut N scan and popped her up with foam squares for added dimension. I love this die from Studio Katia called "Half Stripped Cover". The size of the die is 4.25 x5.5" so it fits and A2 card perfectly. After gluing it to my card base, I used 2 different papers to fill in the strip "holes". Some white gel pen, burlap bow and a button finish off my design.
Copics Used:
Skin: E02, E11, E21, R20
Hair: E35, E37, e39
Outfit: E07, E08, E09/ BG11, BG13, white gel pen polka dots

Sending You Sunshine!

Hello!
I just wanted to share with you this beautiful "post card" that was included with my Honey Bee order the other week! On the front was a nice thank you from Honey Bee and the back of the card had this image on it, uncoloured. What a great idea to have this on the back of the information/thank you postcard so that nothing has to go to waste!
All I had to do was colour the image with my Copic Sketch Markers. The sentiment was already on it and I just backed the card with a bit of matching cardstock. I added some Nuvo Drops in English Mustard to the little stamens and a few pink gems to finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Flowers: RV55, RV66, RV69/ Y35, Y38
Leaves: G28, YG17, YG25, YG23
Bee: Y19, C7, BG000, glitter pen on wings
Strip: Y35, Y38
Outline: W00, W1, W3

Thanks to Honey Bee for this little gift on my order!!

Merry Christmas!

Hello!
I'm popping in today with a Christmas card using the adorable "Gavin The Givin' Dragon" from High Hopes Stamps! I decided to use Gavin for a Christmas card but he's be perfect for a Birthday card too!
After I stamped "Gavin" onto Copic friendly paper, I coloured him in using my Copic Sketch Markers. Next I cut him out using a Memory Box Stitched Scallop Circle die. I decided to use papers from the Echo  Park "A Cozy Christmas" 6x6 collection. I added a Snowflake Border in the green cardstock for a subtle look and added sequins with a red gem centers. It's hard to see in the picture but there is glitter pen on the bows. The sentiment is also from High Hopes and is called "Scripty Merry Christmas". A bit of twine and a die cut snowflake finish off my card.
Copics Used:

We're Here!

Hi!!
If you know me then you know I absolutely love the "Girlfriends" line of stamps over at Art Impressions! I have the whole collection and often turn to them to use on cards for my girlfriends! This is one of the latest stamp sets called "We're Here".
I find it's always easier to make 2 of the same cards at the same time. You already have the card  layout and marker colours decided, so the second one comes together fast! I'm using papers from the Honey Bee "Sweet On You" 6x6 collection. The sentiments I used are part of the "We're Here" set. The skin and hair on each card are the same. I just switched up some of their outfits colours to match my papers. I love the polka dots I created using my white gel pen!
On the inside I used another sentiment from the stamp set.
On the top card I coloured the curtains and door mat in a plaid pattern for fun! On the bottom I made the curtains polka dotted for a different look.
I used so many Copic colour combinations that I am not even going to try to list them all LOL. If you really need to know, drop me a line and I'll send them to you.

Be You!

Hello!
As soon as I saw this little "Monster" from Kinda Cute By Patricia Alveraz, an idea for the card popped into my head! I knew I wanted to make something where he stood out for being different! I think the bright rainbow colours against the solid coloured monsters show just that. You should always be yourself and not afraid to stand out in a crowd!
I started my card by downloading the Monster image and creating a background using multiple images. I sized one of the monsters to be larger. I set about colouring the background monsters with Copic Markers, matching them in rows of the same colours. I decided to colour the larger Monster using a strip in each of the colours in the background. I fussy cut out the larger image and added a fussy cut layer behind him so he stands out a bit better. Now the fun element.... I added an action wobble and goggly eyes. I used my computer to create the sentiment and cut it out using a Stitched Flag Die.

See the wobble in action!
On the decorated inside, I also used my computer to create the sentiment.
Copics Used:
BV08, V15, V17
R89, RV17, RV19
YG17, YG23, YG15
YR04, YR07, YR09
Y35, Y38, R20

Milton the Moose!

Hi!
I'm getting ready for Fall by making some cards to send to family and friends. I thought "Milton's Fall Harvest" from High Hopes Stamps would be sure to make someone smile! I mean a Moose picking apples.... how cute right?!
I started by stamping and then colouring my images in with Copic Sketch Markers. I dug out some papers from my "Fall Stash"to create my design with. Last winter I went through all my older 6x6 paper pads and tore out the patterns I thought I might use. The rest of the papers I donated to our local Family Resource Center for the kids crafts area. Now I just call it my "stash" as I have no idea what company made what lol. I added a bit of twine and an apple brad to finish off the cards.
I challenged myself to try "no-line colouring". It's something I always envy when other people do it and thought why not give it a try! I decided to do 2 cards showing the difference of no-line colouring to that of a black ink stamped image. I stamped the right image using MFT's ink in the colour Natural. This gave me a very light line to follow when colouring. Sorry one is upside down, it's just the way I stamped and then turned it in the MISTI.
This is the "no-line colouring" image. It has a much softer look to it. I have lots of practice to do but I think it turned out ok!
Here's the most common way, stamp your image with black ink. It's much crisper looking when coloured. I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Happy Fall Ya'll" on both cards.
Copics Used:
Moose: E33, E35, E37/ W1, W3, W5/ R01, R22
Apples: R37, R39, R59, YG17, YG26
Basket: E43, E44, E47, C1, C2, C3
Grass: G28, YG17, YG23, YG25
