Snowboard Sammy!

Hello DDS Fans!
Today I am sharing with you the cute "Snowboard Sammy" from Digi Doodle Studios! Sammy sure looks like he's having fun boarding down the hill!
My card today is a different size. I wanted to add lots of "hills" so I made the card base longer. This card measures 7x4.25". I used my Copic Sketch markers to colour Sammy and then using some Copic solution and a terrycloth rag, I added some texture to his pants. This technique makes his pants look more like denim. Lots of glitter attached with glue to the hills and trees for a fun bit of interest!
I also decided Sammy needed to be on an action wobble for an interactive element! I also popped up some of the hill with foam tape for added dimension.
Here's a short clip of "Snowboard Sammy" in action.
I decorated the inside and used a sentiment from the DDS "Snow Wishes" digital collection. I could just pictureSammy wishing for snow every night so he could snowboard.
Copics Used:

Sleigh Bells Set!

Hi Ai Fans!
Today I am sharing 2 cards I made using the "Sleigh Bells" set from Art Impressions. I always love the sets Ai creates as you can make so many different variations of designs with each set.
On this card I just used the deer image. After I coloured them with my Copic markers I fussy cut out the image using my Brother Cut N Scan. I've had this window slider die for awhile now and thought it would be prefect for this card. I love that it lies flat for mailing and then slides up for a fun element.
Here you can see how it slides up. I stamped 2 of the sentiment sayings from the "Sleigh Bells" set and 2 of the little mini images.
For this card I stamped the tree from the "Reindeer Games" set that Ai did with Hampton Arts. I masked the tree and added the cute little Elves from the "Sleigh Bells" set on either side.
Copics Used:
Reindeer: E30, E31, E33, E35, E37/ R24, R27, R29, R37, R39, YG23, YG25
Elves: E00, E21, R24, R27, R29, YG23, YG25, N4, N6
Tree: G28, E37, Y35, Y38, R24, R27, YG23, YG25

Bear!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
I'm popping in today to share with you a card I made using the new "Bear" stamp from the "Woodsy Christmas" release and an older image called "Package Packin' Penguin" from High Hopes Stamps!
I started by stamping my images, masking them off and then creating this background using some Tim Holtz Distress Inks. I splattered some white and black ink onto the background using a paintbrush. A couple spoonfuls of Stampendous Spoonful of Snow Embossing Powder gives these cuties some sparkly snow to walk on. I'll let you in on a little secret...... I messed up on my Bear. I had coloured it and then tried to add some texture with Copic Blending Solution and a rag. Lets just say it didn't work the best so I had to add little dots of Copic inks to try to fix it. I just couldn't throw it out after all my work on it. I hope it turned out okay for you guys.
Copics Used:
Bear: N1, N3, N5, N6, N7, N9/ R20
Penguin: C5, C6, C7/ YR04, YR07, YR09

There's Snow Friend Like You!

Hello Ai Fans!
Today I'm sharing with you a card I made with this adorable Snowman! Now typically the "WC Snowman Set" from Art Impressions is part of their Watercolor line of stamps. But who says you have to use your stamps the intended way! I love finding different ways to use my stamps!
Since I still haven't mastered "watercoloring the Art Impressions way", I decided to stamp and colour this cutie with my Copic Sketch Markers. It gives the scene I created a very different look.
I layered some papers from my "Christmas scraps" ( you know the bits you never throw away LOL) and added some Stampendous Spoonful of Snow embossing powder for the "snow" look. Using the Ai Rectangle Double Stitched dies, I cut out my scene and used the dies to create a window. A few little snowflake embellies and a ribbon bow finish everything off.
Copics Used:
N5, N6, N7, C00, C1, E43, YR16, YR18
R24, R27, R29, YG61, YG63, YG67, B000

I hope this inspires you to l look at your stamps differently to maximize their use!

New Challenge over at Digi Doodles!

Hi Digi Doodle Fans!
It's the beginning of a new Month and a New Challenge over at Digi Doodle Studios. The theme for this month is "Christmas/ Winter". I am using the new image called "Rosie Tinsel Berry Snowman".
I printed Rosie on my computer and then coloured her in with my Copic Sketch Markers. I decided to use papers from the Doodlebug "Christmas Town" 6x6 collection. I inked all the edges of my papers with Distress Ink in Vintage Photo. The pom poms on her hat were done with some Liquid Appliqué with glitter added to it. You let it dry and then using your heat gun, heat it and the liquid pops up, it's really cool. I added some "Spoonful of Snow" embossing glitter for Rosie to stand in. With a white gel pen I added some polka dots to Rosie for fun! A bit of ribbon, bow and enamel dots finished everything off!
On the inside I used up some of my scrap papers and added a sentiment from the DDS "Snow Wishes" digital sentiments collection.
Copics Used:
C1, R01, R20, R21, R22, R24, R29
RV52, RV55, YR04, YR09
YG63, YG67, E25, E29, YG11, YG13

Ai Challenge: Lots of Layers!

Hello Ai Fans!
It's the second week of the "Lots of Layers" Challenge and the release of the Christmas Clear stamp sets over at Art Impressions!
I'm using the "Snow Friend set" today on my card. I decided to use papers from the Echo Park "I Love Winter" 6x6 collection (an older set I've been hoarding lol).  I love the red and blues in this set and added lots of layers to my card to fit in with the Challenge!
I couldn't stop with just one card so I used all the images and made 3 cards with matching papers!
I stamped these images to make a cute little scene on a 4x4 card base.
Love this skating snowman and the trees to match!
The "Snow Friends set" comes with 3 main images and 5 little images to create lots of different variations, not to mention 7 sentiments!

All Things Gold!

Happy Tuesday HH & OCS Fans!
Today I am sharing with you a gold themed card! There is just something about the colour gold that makes everything seem more elegant!
I was trying to think of a way to share this High Hopes image called "Forest" that would be different than my normal Copic colouring. Then.........boom it hit me.....GOLD! I stamped my image with clear embossing ink and then added Gold Embossing Powder. After I melted the powder with my heat gun, I coloured the image in with a Wink of Stella Glitter Pen in Gold. I fussy cut the image and popped it up on my white Snowflake embossed background with some foam squares. I cut the letters "noel" directly into my card base and then inset the gold letters for a clean look. More gold with some ribbon, a bow and star sequins finish everything off!
Of course more gold on the inside with the sentiment "Sparkle All the Way" sentiment from the New "Woodsy Christmas" collection.

Garden Window!

Happy Friday Ai Fans!
Today I am trying my hand at Watercoloring my cards using some Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. I still need lots of practice but I have to admit how fun they are! I also wanted to show you a different way to use the "Garden Window MTF" stamp set.
The Garden Window set is actually a set to make a Mini Try-fold card. Instead of creating a try-fold card, I decided to just use the main image and add a cute puppy from the "WC Dog set" peeking out the window. I started by stamping the window with Stazon Black ink on watercolor paper. I stamped it a second time on a post-it-note to create a mask so I could add the puppy in the window. Next I used my markers, a water brush and the Ai "Watercolor Palette" and watercolored my image. I added some Yellow Stickles to the flower middles for that tiny bit of sparkle.
I made a set of 3 coordinating cards and tied them together with some white ribbon. I think it'll make a nice gift. I actually used the sentiment from the Girlfriends "Bench" stamp set.
Zig Clean Color Colours Used:
Light Blue, Cobalt, Lilac
Yellow, Mustard, Beige
Deep Green, Light Green, Flesh Colour
Light Carmine, Light Pink
Dark Brown, Blue Grey

It's always fun to see how you can use your stamps differently then intended to get the most out of your sets!

Snowman Stocking!

Hello HH & OCS Fans!
For today's card I am using the "Snowman Stocking" stamp from the new "Woodsy Christmas" Release over at High Hopes! I love making Christmas cards in non-traditional colours such as this pink and blue colour combo!
For my card design this week I am using paper from the Bo Bunny Little Wonders 6x6 collection. I stamped and coloured this adorable image with my Copic Sketch markers to match my Designer papers. I  love tilting a layer as it adds some interest to the card. Each Snowman's hat and the candy cane have some Crystal Stickles added to them.
More Designer papers and a scalloped border edge add a fun element to the inside. I used the HH "Season's Greetings" sentiment on the inside.
Copics Used:
C00, C01, YR04, YR09, R01, R24, R27
E27, E41, E42, E43, RV52, RV55
B34, B37, B39, N4
