Birdies & Eagles!

Fore!!!
That's what you'd be hearing if it was me out on the golf course "fore" (look out) LOL. My golf balls would be flying everywhere. Luckily "Golfer Rudy" from High Hopes Stamps has his game in check! I mean look at that form!
Golfer Rudy is a bit on the bigger size (4.75x3) so I decided to try out the "Slim Line" card base. I've been seeing this card size 8.5 x 3.5" a lot on Facebook and thought it would be perfect for Rudy! I stamped and coloured the image with my Copic markers and then fussy cut him out using some scissors. Since I only have papers in 6x6, I had to be creative with this taller card size. I decided to use papers from the Honey Bee "Great Outdoors" 6x6 collection and used a rectangle block pattern. It's hard to see on the card but I tried to make a tee with a small white pom pom on it to resemble a golf ball. I love that sentiment called "Funny Golf Saying", it just makes me giggle! Rudy is popped up with foam squares for added dimension.

Dr Orders!

Hi!
A dear neighbour of ours had surgery and I went to grab a card and realized I was all out! So I got out these cuties from My Favourite Things and got busy! Meet the "Dr Orders" and " Super Hero In Scrubs" sets.
I started by stamping my images and sentiment on to some alcohol ink friendly paper. Using my Copics, I coloured in the images and then fussy cut them out. I decided to make my own background this time instead of using patterned paper. I got out some water colour paper and a "Moroccan Lattice" Stencil. Using a blending sponge and some Distress Oxide Inks in Picked Raspberry I made the background. I concentrated the colour more towards the centre and lighter on the edges. Then I just added some matching pink cardstock behind the background panel and sentiment. I popped up the sentiment and images with some foam tape for a bit of added dimension. Some sequin stickers finish everything off!
Copics Used:

Retirement!

Hello!
My Hubby is so jealous of this guy, "Retired Raymond" from High Hopes Rubber Stamps! Hubby still has a few more years to work and there's nothing he'd rather be doing then golfing 5 (or 7 lol) days a week in the nice weather. This image makes a nice Retirement or male birthday card. Retired Raymond actually looks a lot like our neighbour Steve, who also loves golfing. I think this card will be going to him for sure.
I started by stamping "Retired Raymond" with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then coloured him to match my papers with Copic Sketch Markers. I die cut the image and then went ahead and masked off the image. Using Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and a Mini Cloud Stencil, I created my sky background. The image is popped up on the card with foam squares for added dimension. I decided to use the High Hopes "Retirement" sentiment but birthday wishes would work just as well. A bit of twine and a few enamel dots finish off my card.

Just Bee'cause!

Bzzzzzzz!
What's the buzz you say? Well it's all about this adorable card from High Hopes Stamps called "Wilson's Honey Farm". These Bees are buzzin' by to let you know they are thinking about you.
To start, I stamped and coloured my image using my Copic Markers. Then I die cut it using a Gina Marie die set called "Peekaboo Oval". To create the frame, I die cut the polka dot paper and then using an Xacto knife, cut around the outer edge of the die. This created a nice frame for the coloured image to sit inside of. I found these adorable papers in the Honey Bees "The Bees Knees" 6x6 collection. I also added Vintage Photo Distress Ink to all the edges of my papers to add some dimension.  I used the High Hopes sentiment called "Just Bee Cause", which goes perfectly with this image! Some ribbon, bee stickers and Stickles to the bee's wings finish off my card.
Copics Used:
Hive: Y32, Y35, Y38
Flowers: RV17, RV19, YG23, G28
Honey Pot: BG75, BG78, Y21, RV17, RV19

Robot Wishes!

Happy Tuesday!
Oh my gosh!!!! How cute is this robot?!! Isn't he just the perfect image for a young boys Birthday card! Meet the adorable High Hopes Stamp called "Robot with Cupcake". If your little guy loves robots, then check out the other adorable images HERE.
I coloured this cutie with my Copic Markers and then die cut the image and papers using the Gina Marie Venetian Labels die set. I found this older Echo Park collection called "That's My Boy" in my stash and found these adorable papers to match.  It's hard to see but I added Spectrum Noir Glitter pen to all the grey parts, which make it look more like shiny steel. The High Hopes sentiment called "Transmitting Birthday Wishes" goes perfectly with the image theme. Lots of enamel dots finish off my card.
On my decorated inside I used another HH Sentiment called "It's Your Day"

Purrr-ty Tweet!

Hello!
I'm popping in today with a card that would be perfect for Valentine's Day or to let someone know you think they are special! This image from High Hopes Stamps is called "Purrr-ty Tweet Kitty". I love that the sentiment comes with the image and how it wraps itself around the image.
When I saw this image my brains said..... red and black. Why I don't know lol, but I went with it, adding a bit of pink to match with the papers. This is a new die for me from Studio Katia called "Half Stripped Cover" and I put it to good use. After stamping and cutting my image out with a Gina Marie Double Roped Oval die, I set about colouring it with my Copic markers. I decided to use papers from the Echo Park "Be My Valentine" 6x6 collection and finished my card off with some Stickles (bow & flowers) and red gems.

Take Time!

What a cutie!! Meet "Tink Picking Posies" from High Hopes Stamps! I just want to squeeze those cheeks! But I know from experience that the smell would be too much. My poor dog Stella has been sprayed twice in the last few months, so I know skunks aren't as cute as they look LOL!
I stamped my image on some Copic friendly paper and then cut it out with a wonky stitched die. My papers are from the Doodlebug Love Notes 6x6 collection and I added some enamel dots for a bit of interest. I love this HH sentiment called "Smell the Flowers", it matches perfectly with this image!

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Hello!
Today's post for High Hopes Stamps features the adorable "Leapin' Leprechaun"! You can't help but smile when you see this cutie! I looked up the history of the Leprechaun, and in old Irish folklore he was a trickster figure who couldn't be trusted and likes to deceive. I find it hard to think that this cutie could do any of those things LOL!
I am using some papers from the Echo Park Lucky & Charms 12 x 12 collection. I coloured "Leapin' Leprechaun" with my Copic markers and then cut him out with my Brother Cut N Scan. The stitched Tag die was perfect to pop him up on with some foam tape. I am using the HH "St Patrick's Script" for my sentiment today. Some enamel dots and ribbon finish off my card.
I decorated the inside with some die cuts from the paper collection for a fun look.

Hair: YR16, YR18

Toucan Twosome!

Hello Friends!!
This month over on the High Hopes Blog the Design Team have been inspiring you with cards using a "Love Theme". Today I am using the adorable pair from High Hopes called "Toucan Twosome". I've seen some these birds on some of my travels and they are just incredibly beautiful!
"Toucan Twosome" makes the perfect Valentine Day card when paired with the HH Sentiment called "Love Nest Valentines". I decided not to go with non traditional Valentine themed papers. I've had this Designer Paper from Bo Bunny called "Beach Therapy" for a bit now and thought it perfect to pair with these sweeties! I inked all the edges of my paper layers with Vintage Photo Distress Ink to add a bit of dimension. All the layers are glued flat but the "Toucan Twosome" stamp is popped up using foam tape. My card base today is a 5x5" square.
Copics Used:
N5, N7, N8, N9, C1, C2
YR02, YR04, YR07, RV24, B04, Y23, Y32
